Synology release a wide range of NAS systems every year, and today we are looking at the DS 1813+ which has been designed from the ground up to cope with the demanding enterprise environment.
The DS1813+ is built for speed, it incorporates a dual core processor and can scale with multiple DX512 expansion bays to support a total of 72GB of storage.

Every now and then something comes around that is particularly eye catching and the world of SSDs is no different. The Viking Modular SATADIMM is just one of those things and we thought we might venture outside the box just a bit and put a 25GB SLC version of the SATADIMM to the test. It can be described as a wolf in sheeps clothing because, although it does look like a typical RAM module, it is really anything but.

With the ZM-MH200 U3, Zalman successfully combines the convenience of a hard drive dock with the usefulness of RAID. All it takes is the flip of some dip switches and you have an instant JBOD, RAID 0, or RAID 1 array that is accessible externally.

Today we will be reviewing the Monster Digital 400GB Le Mans SSD. This SSD brings with it a hefty amount of overprovisioning with Toshiba Toggle NAND and an SF-2281 under the hood. Monster certainly isn’t the first name that pops into mind when one thinks of SSDs. Branching out into the new market of high performance SSDs is breaking new ground for this long standing company, so we intend to see how the newly formed Monster Digital division fares with their first release.

We've had a lot of USB flash drives pass through our offices and deep down I have a soft spot for them. They are small devices than can pack a punch in terms of capacity and speed and lately we've seen a whole host of different designs that are exciting that market segment just a little bit.
Under the DashDrive branding, today the Elite UE700 64GB USB 3.0 drive from ADATA has graced us offering a stylish device with speed, high-performance and value at the heart of it. Coming in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, you'll be hard-pressed not to find the right model for you especially with the price points of £15, £30 and £50 respectively
Coming encased in stylish, brushed aluminium casing with leather strap allowing you to attach it to your keychain, you'll be sure not to lose it when needed the most. Measuring in at 63 x 22 x 7mm and weighing a modest 11g, it certainly won't weigh you down.

Well I guess the secrets out by now. Intel has this morning officially released it’s new enthusiast level Intel 520 Series SSD and it is none other than ‘SandForce Driven’. What’s that, you say!?
Our report today is a complete analysis of the Intel 520 240GB 6Gbps SSD and I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that this is only a prelude to the big event. As luck may have it, Intel has sent us three (3) Series 520 SSDs to do what only we can truly do for the drives. Get ready for some amazing RAID testing!
