Today I’ve got a rather large review for you with a lot to cover. Today for review I’ve got the HIS Radeon 7850 video card and I’ve put it through it’s paces thoroughly including gaming, Eyefinity and overclocking. HIS has also just came out with a new software program called iTurbo that can help you adjust many of your video card settings including the fan and overclocking. When all was said and done I have to say that I’m very much impressed with what this card can do and I think you will be as well. So read on…

The GeForce GTX 670 is an average of 10.1 percent slower than the GeForce GTX 680 according to our benchmarks. The price is also about 22 percent lower, however, and you don't need to be a math wiz to realise that the price/performance ratio of the GTX 670 is better than that of the GTX 680.
The most interesting difference is with the similarly priced Radeon HD 7950. Nvidia's GTX 670 performs an average of 14.9 percent better than AMD's card. While you can find some good discounts for AMDs card, at an equal price the Nvidia card gives you more bang for your buck.
In areas other than performance it's a draw. Energy consumption is almost the same and both feature PCI-Express 3.0, support three monitors on one card, an integrated video encoder, excellent video decoder and DirectX 11.1.
With one exception, the GeForce GTX 670 is powerful enough to run games in Full HD on max settings and 4x FSAA. If you plan on using three monitors, then you do need to get a second card to get good frame rates. SLI works fine with the GTX 670. Triple SLI encountered too many compatibility issues for us to be able to recommend it.

The PCB behind the Radeon HD6870's GPU did get to over 72C, and it washed over a large area of the card with temperatures exceeding 60C. These numbers themselves aren't of much concern, but it does imply that the actual GPU is even higher. An aftermarket cooler may not be necessary, but it should lower those readings by a fair amount.

According to some documents VR-Zone has seen, Nvidia is preparing move to
40nm process technology for their top to bottom GPU line-up by Q2 next
year.

When Titan released in February, it seemed likely that NVIDIA’s GeForce 700 series would be held off on for some time. Well, with today’s launch of the company’s mini-Titan – ahem, GTX 780, we've been proven wrong. Compared to the GTX 680, it offers a lot of +50%’s – but is it worth its $649 price tag?

Benchmark Reviews recently took a look at XFX's R7970 Black Edition Double Dissipation version of AMD's new top-end Tahiti-based video cards. It's the fastest single-GPU video card we've ever tested, but the $600.00 price was a little hard to take, especially with NVIDIA's GTX580 widely available for more than $100 less. Today XFX has supplied us with the next step down the Tahiti line, the R7950 Black Edition Double Dissipation.
