As you know, KitGuru has big love for the inventor of the original 3D card and all they have done for the world. However, nVidia is about to engage in a real ‘take your balls in your hands’ exercise as it phases out the GTX460 in favour of the brand new GTX560. KitGuru look at the nature of the risk and reveals some more details in the process.

If there was one suggestion I might make in order to improve the life expectancy and reliability of the Galaxy GT430 1GB video card, it would be to address the two hot transistors found between the GPU cooler and the connectors on the back of the card. The GPU cooler slightly overhangs this area, but some low profile chipsinks could fit on to either.

Today for review I’ve got two cards from Sparkle, they’re both the GT240 but one has 512mb of ram while the other has 1024mb of ram. So this review is a review yes, but it’s also a comparison of what 512mb is worth when compared to 1024mb of ram on a video card. I was curious myself, and ultimately surprised by what I found out.

I was always a bit bummed that I never got to test the GTX 480 in SLI. We only ever had one reference card come through our doors and after that we saw MSI, Galaxy and GIGABYTE release models that were all based on their own design, making it pretty much impossible to SLI them. The main reason I wanted to test them, though, was because we knew it was going to be the fastest dual card setup we would've tested in our testbed. Crossfire wasn't scaling as strong as it is now with the HD 6000 series and the GTX 480 had a nice little jump on the HD 5870.

Hey, hey, looks it’s another Sparkle video card review. This time it’s another GT240, but it’s the low-profile version meaning that it’s made for smaller cases like an HTPC for instance. That’s doesn’t mean though that it can’t be used for light gaming and anything else a video card is used for.

I've always liked the Turbo series from HIS. It's not my favorite series from the company, with me personally being a larger fan of the iCooler series, but more importantly the iCooler Turbo series which carries the benefits of an upgraded cooler and benefits of that pre-overclock.

Ok, so it’s another Sparkle video card for review. Yes it’s a GT240, but this one is the overclocked edition, or plus edition as it’s labeled, but it’s really not. The box says it is but the core and clock speeds are the same as the other GT240 cards. It does feature 1024mb of DDR5 ram, so let’s just jump in here.

When we talk about different video card brands, there's always a factor which motivates us to choose one over any other. Most likely, we make our decisions depending on retail price, but there are things to consider: the bundle and accessories, factory overclocked speeds, and of course, included heatsinks and fans so that the GPU can be overclocked higher or simply work without being as loud and hot as a reference design. With this in mind, Benchmark Reviews tests the GIGABYTE GV-R685OC-1GD AMD Radeon HD 6850 video card. We've already tested some HD 6850 GPUs before, but GIGABYTE offers their newest design with the Windforce 2x GPU cooler and Ultra Durable VGA technology. Additionally, this is the factory OC version which brings 820MHz (against 775MHz) GPU Core clock and 4200MHz (instead 4000MHz) GDDR5 Memory clocks. Let's analyze the GV-R685OC-1GD model and see if it can be a serious contender against reference HD 6850 and GTX 460 graphics card!
