The GTX 480 is late. The GTX 480 is hot. Both of these facts have now been established by both ourselves and a gazillion other review sites. We will therefore not dwell upon these factors in this review of the first Fermi card from Zotac to enter the ITShootout.com labs. Since XFX’s partial defection to ATi last year, Zotac has become an increasingly important NVIDIA release partner here in the UK. You’ll probably be familiar with the brand by now if you like to keep abreast of developments in IT.

Overall, there isn't a whole lot I can hold against the ENGT240. It's relatively cheap, easy on power, and surprisingly is a lot more powerful than I first thought while unboxing this card for this review. Add in the overclocking potential and you have a good investment if DX11 gaming is not on your radar at this time.

When Benchmark Reviews first tested the video card, we knew that NVIDIA had a winner on their hands. For the mid-range price of $200, gamers can enjoy high-speed frame rates and PhysX enhancements. After some additional investigation, it seemed that the price point offered more than just a successful domination of the rivaling ATI Radeon HD 5830, it also surpassed the more expensive GeForce GTX 465. There are several enthusiast video cards that cost more than the GTX 460, which presents the case for combining two of these video cards into a $400 SLI set. At this price segment the GTX 460 SLI set directly competes against the ATI Radeon HD 5870, but could potentially deliver more performance than ATI's Radeon HD 5970. In this article, Benchmark Reviews compares single and SLI performance for the 768MB GTX 460 against the entire enthusiast graphics card segment.

Fourteen floors down, in a secured elevator, Zardon’s personal lab is a monstrous affair. Closer to a medieval torture pit than anything you’d see Pepper Potts delivering coffee to Tony Stark in. When you absolutely, positively, definitely need the truth – then Zardon’s inner chamber is where the torture testing will happen. However, sometimes you just want it fast and loose. To smack 2 stones against each other and see which, if either, breaks. KitGuru picks up a GTX470 in one hand and a pair of Radeon HD 5770s in the other, before smacking them together to see what gives. GITR. Get In The Ring!

We've already had a chance to look at one GTS 450 and it managed to do a good job impressing us. While Galaxy chose to push the price higher than what we'll see other variants of the model come in at, they did choose to ramp up the clock speeds on the card.
