We already liked the MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC when we tested it as part of our GeForce GTX 760 round-up. It had the right combination of price, performance and low noise levels. The slightly more expensive Hawk made an even better impression. The Hawk is just as quiet, slightly faster and more importantly, it has great overclocking potential, and the triple voltage and the measuring points are great features for overclockers.

Not too long ago we heard the announcement that AMD were to bring out a new 7000 series card that would fill in a gap in their product line-up to take on NVIDIA's 650Ti GPU. This card is of course the 7790 and goes by the code name "Bonaire". Like we saw way back when the 6790 was released, the 7790 fills the void between the entry level 7770 and the midrange 7850 which is a slightly larger gap than some may think in terms of performance.

Last month nVidia rocked the graphics world with the release of their phenomenal GTX580. This is the fastest single chip card on the market today – although AMD’s HD5970 is still the most powerful graphics card on the planet. Today we are looking at the more affordable GTX570, which targets the same (£280) market as the HD6970.

After an unexpected delay (and plenty of rumors that soon followed), AMD's Radeon HD 6970 and Radeon HD 6950 finally see the light of day. The Cayman GPU brings a new VLIW4 core design that enables better efficiency and improved tessellation performance among others. AMD has positioned the HD 6970 as the superior enthusiast GPU, while the HD 6950 is touted to be in a class of its own. But still, the burning question: can the AMD Radeon HD 6970 subdue NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 580?

We recently took a look at Sapphire's HD5750 in this review, and now we're going to see what one of the bigger, faster siblings of the new DirectX 11 capable HD5XXX family has to offer. The main focus of this review is to feature Sapphire's Radeon HD5850 1GB graphics card, but as an interesting side effect we will also take a look at the CrossFire performance of a pair of these HD5850 cards, as well as a pair of Sapphire's HD5750 cards.

To cover SLI testing on the GTX 560 Ti we are using the ASUS DirectCU 2 TOP Edition, a custom designed version of the product which is factory overclocked. We will be testing the card against the 6870 in CrossFire to see, in real world scenarios, which multi-GPU configuration offers the best experience. As always Surround gaming videos will be included, as will 5760x1080 screenshots and of course the usual selection of high definition playback and GPU computing tests. To round things off we will see if we can break the 1GHz barrier on this card.

The ASUS ENGTS250 1GB GTS 250 video card's heatsink is unique and not only gives the card a different look, but also makes it appealing in situations where low noise and low heat production are a must. I can see it being a good fit in a desktop or an HTPC setting where decent 3D performance may be desired, but where serious game play is not a priority.

Sure not everyone needs a watercooled videocard, but this videocard is not targeted towards the everyday gamer. This product has the crosshairs on the consumer that has the money, wants the best, wants it easily installed, and wants to game as fast as possible without the noise and bother. To me, if you can afford it, you cannot afford to turn this option down. Period ...
