NVIDIA and ATI dominate the market for gaming-oriented video cards. But neither company sells video cards directly to the consumer; rather, they produce "reference designs" that are manufactured by a number of "partners". Most partners simply produce the reference design and slap an identifying sticker on the card's cooler; although some might replace the reference design cooler with a quieter or more powerful solution, with few exceptions there's little to distinguish one partner's version of a specific card from another partner's version of the same card. EVGA breaks out of this rut with their EVGA GTX 275 CO-OP PhysX Edition, model 012-P3-1178-TR, which combines NVIDIA GTS250 and GTX275 GPUs on the same card, and Benchmark Reviews takes it around the block to see what it's got.

Today we get to see the final (for now) piece of the puzzle in the Radeon 5000 range, the 5830. We will be running the card through a selection of real world gaming tests as well as GPU computing tasks and HD playback to find out how it compares to the 5770, 5850 and GTX 275

Today we take an in-depth look at the ASUS G73Jh. Featuring the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 mobile GPU, mobile gamers once again have an offering of top-of-the-line graphics performance in a notebook. Paired with an Intel Core i7 720QM mobile CPU, the G73Jh offers some serious performance both for gamers and video encoders. Throw in a 17.3" Full HD display and you are probably wondering what the price tag is... That's the best part!

Radeon HD 5670 is one of the latest mainstream video processors from AMD and today we are going to review the IceQ version from HIS (a.k.a. H567Q512), which features a nice cooling system, 512 MB GDDR5 and runs at stock clock settings.

The fact that MSI offered Voltage Adjustment to the new GeForce GTX 480 video card in the release though, very much does. Voltage Adjustment on video cards has become such a big thing these days; companies offering such good cooling options mean that the video cards can handle a bit more voltage, which in turn is offering some outstanding performance increases.

The ASUS ENGTX480-2D1-1536 videocard stays pretty close to NVIDIA's reference design, with a 700MHz core clock speed, 1.5GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 924MHz (quad-pumped to an effective 3696MHz) and a 384-bit wide memory bus. Here's what the little beastie looks like under all that heatsink - a very large GPU surrounded by twelve BGA DRAM memory chips.
