Today I’m taking a look at Sapphire’s Vapor X card. A custom PCB with high quality components such as the second generation Black Diamond chokes makes for what should be a great performing and highly overclockable card. The custom Vapor-X cooler has been designed to provide not only cooler temperatures but also much less noise compared to the reference design cooler. Let’s begin!

Today we are looking at a highly modified Nvidia GTX 570 solution from MSI, featuring an uprated power configuration, voltage adjustment and a dual fan Twin Frozr III cooler. Not only has the card been modified from the ground up for ultimate performance, but MSI have included new Propeller Blade fans to enhance airflow by 20 percent. MSI claim that these fans reduce GPU temperature by 18c and fan noise by 7.7 dBa when compared against the reference solution.

Last week we attended a conference call from AMD. Subject of the day was the new 7 series of the Radeon HD videocards. First one from the new 7900 Series is the flagship in single GPU configurations, the Radeon HD 7970. Please be aware this is only the presentation based on the official slides, the actual review will folllow soon here at Madshrimps. Let's see what the new high end AMD cards have to offer.

What's really cool is that today we're not just looking at a reference designed card from one of the AMD partners, instead we're looking at a card that not only carries an out of the box overclock, but also carries with it a new cooling solution.
The Black Edition naming in the new XFX HD 7970 Black Edition Double Dissipation isn't anything new to us, the new Double Dissipation tag is, though, and that refers to the cooling solution they're using today.

While Nvidia prepare to release their next series of cards we are looking at a custom GTX 580 board from KFA2 which can support up to four screens via a single card, with the promise of excellent gaming performance across three screens. It ships in an overclocked state and incorporates 3 fans for improved cooling efficiency. Today we will test across a single and three screens. Is it worth the money?

AMD has finally released Radeon HD 7950, which happens to be the cut-down version of the Radeon HD 7970 graphics card that hit the streets on January 9th, 2012. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 graphics card is based on the same 'Tahiti' core architecture that is used on the Radeon HD 7970, but some has less features and lower clock speeds. Read on to see how the Radeon HD 7950 performs!

Today AMD release their new HD7750 and HD7770 series graphics cards targeting the mainstream enthusiast audience. In this review we analyse the Sapphire HD7770 1GHZ Overclock Edition which is supplied resplendent with custom cooling solution.

With more and more graphics chips being released every day, it became very complicated for the user who does not follow the video card market to know the differences among all AMD (ATI) graphic chips on the market today. To facilitate knowing and understanding the differences among major AMD (ATI) chips, we have compiled the following table.

AMD launch the ‘Pitcairn’ series of graphics cards today, completing their Trinity of new Direct X 11 discrete solutions. In previous months we analysed the ‘Tahiti’ series HD7970 /HD7950 and the ‘Cape Verde’ HD7770 and HD7750, targeting the ultra high and lower end price points respectively. The HD7870 and HD7850 are released to fill out the middle ground, aimed at the enthusiast user who wants plenty of bang for the buck.

Since we knew that the Catalyst 12.2 drivers weren't far away we figured it was a good chance to look at the driver in a bit more detail than just our typical Catalyst benchmark line up, so that's exactly what we'll be doing today as we see how the Diamond HD 7970 with the series' first WHQL driver goes against the original launch driver we used.
Of course there are a few things we need to do before we get into the performance side of things and we see exactly what's going on with the latest AMD driver. Since we haven't looked at the Diamond HD 7970, the first thing we need to do is take a closer look at the bundle to see exactly what's going on.
