Just this past week I was away on vacation, I came back to a stack of boxes with most of them being video cards. This time, most of them are a new model from Nvidia. Just like with other big launches, the Nvidia GTX 780 was quickly followed up by the GTX 770. To continue filling in gaps in their product line that the GTX 780 launch created Nvidia is launching the GTX 760 that will replace the GTX 660 Ti. Today we are going to take a look at the new GTX 760 and see what it is all about as well as seeing what it is capable in our test suite. The GTX 780 and GTX 770’s were both impressive, I am very curious to see what they will be following them up with.

The EVGA Geforce GTX 760 SC with ACX cooling is priced at $259 USD. The EVGA GTX 760 SC ACX has a base clock of 1072MHz and a boost clock of 1137MHz, there is 2GB of GDDR5 memory and a 4GB version will be available. The GTX 760 Superclocked edition is built on its own PCB, which contains a 6 phase power controller and requires one 8-pin and one 6-pin PCI-e power connector. A minimum of a 500W power supply is needed (system dependent) and the video card's TDP is 180W. For overclocking, EVGA has included Precision X and OC Scanner software. The EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SC with ACX comes standard with a 3 year limited warranty.

Another week goes by, and Nvidia launch another graphics card, as we've seen recently with the GTX 780 and 770. Today however sees the more wallet friendly GTX 760 which is said on the grapevine to be the last Nvidia GPU launch for 2013, but as we know with rumours, it's just a matter of seeing what the future holds.
When Nvidia launch a card, they sometimes provide reference samples, but for the most part, they rely on their partners to manufacture their own creations and sometimes that may mean us getting a sample with a unique cooling solution or pre-overclocked speeds, or in today's case from KFA2; we get the benefit of both.
It's been a while since we've worked with KFA2, but after discussing through the launch with them, we find the GTX 760 EX OC landing in our offices, offering us a pre-overclocked GPU and a custom cooler design that we originally saw on the GTX 660 when that launched. Based on the overclock speeds that KFA2 have managed to secure on this card, we hold high hopes that we should see performance very close to that of the GTX 770, but of course there is only way to find that out, and that means throwing the card on our test bench and seeing what it can do.
Of course, we have a few other things to take care of first, consisting of taking a look at the packaging on offer, before delving into the design and aesthetics of the card. Once this is out of the way, we will look at how KFA2 have pushed this card beyond stock figures, before jumping into the performance straight out of the box.
Also, wanting to squeeze the very best performance from the card, we will be overclocking it even further than what KFA2 have, and if previous 700 series GK104 counterparts are anything to go by, we should see some really high numbers here today, so lets get straight into it and see what magic treatment KFA2 have given the GTX 760 graphics card.

The EVGA GeForce GTX 760 Super Clocked ACX graphics card is just $10 more expensive than the standard models, but it offers better acoustics, thermal performance, visuals and it can be overclocked through the roof. To us it is a no brainer which card is the one to get.

The latest member of the GeForce GTX 700 series lineup to hit the market is the GTX 760. This GPU is built off the GK104 GPU like quite a few GPUs in the GTX 600 and 700 series. The GTX 760 is built to replace the GTX 660Ti and fill an important price position between about $250 and $300. At Benchmark Reviews, we have MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC video card on hand and have tested it with some of the most popular and graphically intensive titles currently available. The MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC takes the stock features of the GTX 760 and adds to them by overclocking the GPU, adding a proven cooling solution, and including a bunch of other extras that you won’t find on the other GTX 760s. So without further ado, let’s get into the details of the MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC video card.

NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 760 video card is built from the 28nm Kepler GK104 graphics processor, featuring 1152 CUDA cores that are clocked to reach 980 MHz and reach 1033 using NVIDIA Boost 2.0 technology. GeForce GTX 760 also comes with 2GB of GDDR5 video memory, clocked to provide a 1502 MHz graphics frame buffer. In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests and compares the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics card using several highly-demanding DX11 video games, such as Metro: Last Light, Batman: Arkham City, and Battlefield 3.

The MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC video card ships with a base clock of 1020 MHz and 1085 MHz boost clock. This gives the N760 TF 2GD5 OC video card a 40 MHz and 52 MHz advantage over the reference 980 MHz base clock and 1033 MHz boost clock. To keep temperatures well below the 95C thermal threshold of the GK104 core, the MSI N760 TF 2GD5 uses the Twin Frozr IV cooler design outfitted with a pair of high-airflow propeller 92mm PWM fans. As with other video cards from MSI’s gaming line, the N760 TF 2GD5 OC is outfitted with MIL-STD-810G certified components including long life Hi-C and Solid caps for increased efficiency and heat resistance, even under overclocked conditions. The MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC also comes bundled with several utility software tools, including the MSI Gaming App, Kombustor stress test, Afterburner utility and Predator capturing program.
