When we moved away from the single GPU performance via the XFX HD 7770 Black Edition S Super Overclocked 1GB and checked out the CrossFire performance via Sapphire we saw a bit of light at the end of the tunnel thanks to some awesome CrossFire scaling. The issue continued to be the price of the setup, though.
With some strong overclocks out of the box, we wonder what kind of overclocking potential we have with the model. Today we'll be finding that out exactly via the help of the MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB OC Edition video card. There are of course a few things we need to do before we cover the overclocking side of things.

Today we look at the latest version of the card from partner VTX3D – The ‘HD7970 X Edition’ is the first HD7970 we have reviewed which features not only a modified cooler, but overclocked core clock and memory speeds. Is this good enough to get the Kitguru seal of approval?
AMD nous refait le coup de la carte renommée avec cette R9 270, et là, la confusion est encore plus grande, car au niveau de l’architecture, on retrouve une certaine HD 7870. Les plus attentifs nous arrêteront sûrement en arguant, à raison, mais c’est déjà le créneau investi par la 270X ! Vous avez raison, mais alors que la R9 270X remplaçait les HD 7870 version OC, le créneau dévolu à la R9 270 est celui d’une HD 7870 à plus basse fréquence. Ainsi, la seule différence marquante entre la R9 270X et la 270 semble être la fréquence. Nous ne sommes pas là pour analyser le marketing opéré par AMD, nous en avons déjà largement débattu à notre goût. Nous allons donc nous intéresser à la carte, ses performances, et surtout son tarif .
