After testing the GTX 580 at stock clocks there's clearly a little bit of a love hate relationship going on with the card. The one thing you can't take away from it is the performance that it offers out of the box. Considering you've essentially got the performance of two slightly overclocked GTX 460s in not just a single PCI-E card, but more importantly a single GPU card, is nothing short of fantastic.

So we checked out the HD 6950 already and it's time to check out the big brother to the card; the HD 6970. We left feeling a bit of mixed emotion when it came to the HD 6950; it offered great value for its price bracket, but the said price bracket doesn't really have any competition. Instead, the card sits between others.

If you’re a gamer then you know the video card is probably the most important part of your system, without a decent one you won’t be able to play those games that you love so much. The problem with good video cards is that they cost a lot of money, and a lot of us can’t afford them so most of us aim a little lower towards the more mid-range priced cards. I think one should be able to get a fairly decent card that will play most games at relatively high settings and not have to take out a loan or get a second mortgage to do it. Today for review I’ve got the Sparkle GeForce GTX465 video card, it’s a fairly big card, but most cards are these days that can provide good performance for your system. The best part about this card I think is the price, for about $200 you can get a fairly decent performing card.

Without question, 2010 has been a great year for gamers. Both AMD and nVidia have released fantastic graphics cards at all price points and there really has never been a better time to upgrade your system.

Whew, it has been a long time since we last reviewed a video card. I am not even going to bother linking to our last article on graphics to give you an exact time gap between this review and the last. With the past now behind us, I am very proud to announce we are now back on board with the component essential to all gaming computers -- and we will have many more to come, too. I still remember a few years ago when a midrange video card meant playing most computer games at midrange settings. You might get a shot at maximum settings if you were playing an older game. Own a big monitor? Cough up more cash, or turn down the resolution and detail. But times have changed. Today's midrange performance cards in the $200 range provide surprisingly excellent bang for your buck. AMD's 40nm Northern Islands family of GPUs is the company's second generation DirectX 11 cards, and the 6850 and 6870 -- codenamed 'Barts' -- promise to deliver roughly the same level of performance as the 5850 and 5870, which were the high performance graphics processor units of the previous generation. (Just to clear up the name confusion, the 6800 series replaces the 5700 series; the 6900 series replaces the 5800 series.) With so many variants of 6850s to choose from, manufacturers scramble to differentiate their products from their competitors. The Gigabyte GV-R685OC-1GD Radeon HD 6850 1GB OC is a perfect example. Featuring Gigabyte's Windforce 2X cooler out of the box, as well as a slight factory overclock to give it an edge in the benchmarks, is it enough to set this product aside from the other 6850s? Read on to find out!

When KitGuru reviewed Sapphire’s HD5770 Flex Edition last year, it walked away with our top award. It was not only an amazing productivity board, but in a CrossfireX configuration it was capable of reasonable frame rates across three screens. Today we are looking at the new Sapphire HD6870 Flex Edition, a more powerful update in the FleX series. We will not only be testing this across three screens, but across four screens at 7680×1080 resolution in a CrossfireX configuration.

It's hard to believe the last time I used a Titanium NVIDIA GPU was in 2002. The GeForce GTX 560 Ti is the new boom in the "mid-end" sector. It replaces the highly overclock-able GTX 460 video card and adds extra MHz and cores increasing 20-40% performance in many games. As it could be expected, brands like ASUS, GIGABYTE or MSI will pair this GPU with a special heatsink-cooler and increase factory frequencies to sell it at a higher price. Benchmark Reviews tests the ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DCII TOP. DCII means this card now comes with an improved version of the Direct CU cooler, now with 2 fans and adding dissipation area. They also tag this product as TOP because it sports a 900MHz GPU core instead of the 822MHz from the reference design and 1050MHz instead of 1000MHz from stock. Aside from that, ASUS also bundles their very own overclocking/monitoring software to modify frequency and voltage values and add some extra performance for free. ! Let's have a look at the ASUS ENGTX560 Ti and check if it can be a good contender against the competition, including the highly acclaimed GeForce GTX 460.

There are a lot of video cards on the market today to choose from, but when one shows up on the market with killer performance at the $159 price point and a double lifetime warranty it is worth a closer look. The XFX Radeon HD 6850 Black Edition costs $20 more than the standard version, but it comes factory overclocked and to some that is worth it. Read on to see how this card performs against a Radeon HD 5770 in both single and CrossFire situations.
