While the GTX 780 and 770 were both released recently, there has been more focus from brands on the 770 counterpart as it offers much better value for money when looking at a price vs performance argument than pretty much any other card on the market from both AMD or Nvidia, and with that we've had a lot more GTX 770's come through our door, than we have 780.
As we start plowing through these cards, we also found a chance to start working with a brand that is fairly new to us, and perhaps doesn't have the biggest presence in the UK market, unlike other key manufacturer's and this is Gainward. Today we find their GTX 770 Phantom OC landing with us which is said to offer all of the benefits of a GTX 770 with an increased clock speed thanks to the overclock and their patented Phantom cooling solutions which provides extreme silence and extreme cooling with a unique design behind it too.
With a slightly higher price point than a reference GTX 770, we're here to find out if the extra £30 is worth spending, and if the overclock really does help push performance while remaining cool and quiet at the same time. We will be comparing this directly to a reference GTX 770 among other key cards that are currently on the market.

Gainward expands the Phantom series with the new high-end GEFORCE GTX 680 from NVIDIA. We check the model out and see what this video card can do.

We may not see many important and up to date (at least in graphics) game titles lately (many are just console ports) but that doesn't keep the two leading graphics cards manufacturers (AMD/NVIDIA) from keeping the competition alive and kicking by introducing new models every now few months. Lately we've checked some of the brand new Radeon HD 7xxx series by AMD so it was time to jump into the opposite camp and see what the latest GeForce GTX 6xx cards are all about. Gainward is amongst the only exclusive NVIDIA partners and really needs no introductions since it's the company behind some of the best non-reference (custom) NVIDIA card designs (offering factory overclocking, low noise levels and improved cooling) including the Golden Sample and Phantom line. The first of their GTX 6xx line to reach our test bed is the latest Gainward GeForce GTX 670 Phantom 2GB model.

With the recent release of the GeForce series 7 graphics cards NVIDIA has once again taken the crown for the single most powerful graphics processing unit and although many of us hope that AMD can bring something to match them soon for the sake of competition (and in turn lower prices) things are not that easy. Regardless however although all three cards announced in the series 7 are quite remarkable not everyone has the ability to get one and so with series 6 prices naturally taking a significant hit this just might be the best time for people to invest on one of the previous generation models. Today on our test bench we have the last addition in the GeForce series 6 line by Gainward the 650 Ti BOOST 2GB Golden Sample.

The Gainward GeForce GTX 650Ti BOOST card is excellent for people which do not want to spend a fortune on a video card, but would still get good performances in most of the games until 1920x1080. The card from this manufacturer includes a silent 2-fan cooling system but also an easy to use ExperTool II utility, which allows us to monitor and to further overclock the card.

We take a look at our second retail GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost in the form of an offering from Gainward and see how it performs when in SLI mode and overclocked.
