AMD’s new HD6790 has already proven to be a great performer for the gaming masses, delivering HD gaming capabilities without breaking the bank. Today we are looking at the new XFX HD6790 Edition which features a lovely, custom made dual fan cooler.
Installing a fourth was just a natural progression and while it would've been nice to have our old Eyefinity setup up and running over here in my test area in Taiwan, it's currently in retirement. Still, we've got our faithful 30" Dell monitor that has been serving us well for years and we'll be able to see how single monitor 2560 x 1600 performance looks with this setup.
Today we've got a video card from a company we haven't heard heaps from. VisionTek has been around for ages and while we've looked at a nice kit of RAM from them, we haven't seen anything in the VGA side of things yet. Since this is a HD 7970 we haven't looked at yet the first thing we've got to do is check out the bundle that's going on.

NVIDIA Continues to refine the GT200 GPU, and the latest 55nm version offers better efficiency and higher performance. In this article, Benchmark Reviews performance tests the ASUS GeForce GTX 285 against a wide range of video cards. With 1GB of GDDR3 video memory clocked to 1300MHz, and 240 cores working at 1550MHz, the ENGTX285 TOP pushes frame rates to a new high. Benchmarks will help set these video cards apart, but price will ultimately decide the products fate.
MSI did it again. With the N680GTX Lightning they have created the best GeForce GTX 680 graphics card for overclockers, but more than ever it's best suited for seasoned overclockers. Thanks to Nvidia's strange decision, the standard BIOS limits this card to performance you can achieve with standard and cheaper GTX 680s. Only when you download the older BIOS from the internet are you free to explore the overclocking potential of the MSI Lightning.
Encore une carte graphique à la Ferme, et nous décidons de compléter notre gamme du côté d’AMD, qui fût le premier constructeur à proposer une plus large gamme de cartes gravées en 28 nm. On se tourne donc vers la gamme HD 7800, avec des cartes qui promettent d’être à l’aise dans les jeux, tout en étant bien plus accessibles. Plus précisément, nous avons testé une HD 7870, et comme nous avions largement apprécié la HD 7970 X-Edition de Vertex 3D, nous avons rempilé avec une HD 7870 X-Edition.

Sapphire's Vapor-X Radeon HD5870 takes a top of the line single GPU graphics card and enhances it in a few areas to make it even more appealing. The 3D performance is definitely impressive, but the fact that it stays cool, quiet, and doesn't send the electric meter spinning seems like an even greater accomplishment.
