In unserem letzten Grafikkartentest mussten 9600 GT und HD 4670 gegeneinander antreten. Die ehemalige Mittelklasse lieferte dabei in aktuellen Spielen stellenweise noch akzeptable Werte, so dass wir mit viel Überredungskunst Nvidias AIB-Partner dazu ermuntern konnten, uns Testmuster der 9400 GT und 9500 GT zu schicken. Today we are looking at the ATI Radeon HD5750 1GB graphics card. This particular card utilizes the latest technology from AMD, as well as sporting the newest DirectX11 platform. It only requires one 6 pin PCI-Express adapter and is the cheapest card in AMD’s DX11 range.
AMD chose to release the 5670 card at last week’s CES 2010 event. The 5600 series chip is called Redwood and currently only includes the Radeon HD 5650 and 5670 chips. The 5600 series is clearly directed to the mid range segment of the market as illustrated in AMD’s release strategy below. In recent weeks, ATI has continued to roll out its “Evergreen” Radeon HD 5 series range of DirectX 11 graphics cards. The Nvidia v. ATI rivalry that has existed in previous GPU ranges has been a non-starter with ATI able to set out its performance, mainstream and lower end segment cards without response from Nvidia. Indeed, the Fermi cards are not due to hit the markets until late March, six months on from ATI's headline act – the Radeon HD 5870.
