On February 15th AMD released their new HD7750 and HD7770 graphics cards targeting the mainstream enthusiast audience. On launch day we reviewed HD7770 and HD7750 cards from partners such as VTX3D, HIS and Sapphire. Our XFX sample was originally misplaced in the mail so we held fire until today to review two of their new HD7770 Black Edition cards in Crossfire along with their latest HD7750 Double Dissipation Edition.

Today Nvidia introduced the first card in its new 7 series of graphics cards, the GeForce GTX 780. Based on the name you probably expect an entirely new architecture, but the GTX 780 is based on the same GK110 GPU that's the foundation of the GeForce Titan. The new card has slightly fewer CUDA Cores (Nvidia's term for its unified shaders), somewhat less video memory and lower clock speeds.

I hate these low to mid-range cards; it's nothing against them directly, but they're always just so slow. Sure, they might be great for the price etc. - but testing them is still an absolute pain as they're always so much slower than the stuff I'm used to testing. The whole situation is made only worse by AMD releasing three models today, albeit we're only looking at the two higher end ones of these three new models. The good news for me is that we tend to only ever look at one or two of these new models and then continue looking at the fun stuff and what people wish they could afford, but can't.
So up until now we have taken a look at the stock GTX 760 with its single fan, the EVGA GTX 760 with its dual fans, that really only leaves one logical option right? Today I’m going to take a look at the GTX 760 from Gigabyte with their Windforce cooler that packs in a whopping 3 fans. The card is also overclocked a little more than the previous card as well. I’m expecting good performance and I’m very curious about how well Gigabytes Windforce cooling will do because this is our first chance to check out a card with it.
The other day we had a chance to look at the first non-reference NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 from Palit in the form of the JetStream GTX 680. Impressed with what the company was doing so quickly out the gate we had to try and get the opportunity to get a second and see what was going on with SLI performance.
This was going to give us the opportunity to try two things: the first was to see just how SLI is looking with the latest generation of NVIDIA cards. The second was to see just how the GTX 680 in SLI compares against its biggest competitor, the HD 7970 in CrossFire.

China is enjoying increasing success with its own CPU developments, even though for now it is confined to the internal markets mostly. However, they are already undertaking the next step, and preparing to move into the GPU arena.
The GTX 470 has a secret weapon, though. Unlike the GTX 480, the GTX 470 loves to be overclocked. There's really some massive performance on tap with the overclock we achieved on the Galaxy GTX 470 OC GC of 803MHz on the core, taking the lead over the much more expensive GTX 480.
