I would have to say that price is probably the most important feature when you consider the GeForce GTX 980Ti, UHD and Ultra-Wide gaming are becoming increasingly popular up until now that required a minimum of two video cards.
We recently published our comprehensive review of the new Nividia GeForce GTX Titan graphics card, but it lacked one important item. How do two, three and four Titans perform together? We tested all SLI combinations, including 5760x1080 and frametime tests, and compared the results to GeForce GTX 690 Quad-SLI.

Despite the fact that the GTX 690 achieves a higher framerate than the Titan, about 11 percent on average, we would choose the Titan. And that's because when you look at the individual frames, the GTX Titan has more consistent render times. Add to that the lower energy consumption and noise levels, the Titan is a better card than a GTX 690 or a Radeon HD 7990. And you always have the option to add three more Titans to your setup, even if spending € 4000 on graphics cards only is difficult to justify for most people.

The GeForce TITAN video card is meant to perform beyond any single GPU Kepler video card that has been previously released. The GeForce TITAN is equipped with the GK110 core, with five graphics processing clusters, 14 streaming multiprocessors, 224 texture units and 48 ROP units. The GeForce TITAN runs at an 836MHz Base clock with a Boost clock of 876MHz. In terms of memory, the GeForce Titan has 6GB of GDDR5 to utilize across a 384-bit memory interface providing a total memory bandwidth of 288.4 GB/s. Usually, this much performance is expected to be a power hog but due to further optimizations on NVIDIA’s part, the GeForce GTX TITAN TDP is a scant 250W, requiring only a single 6-pin and 8-pin power connector.
Product refreshes tend to happen in stages, typically this is done to help keep the new products fresh but also allows the engineers time to refine their designs and target potential customers. The famed nVidia 500 series is getting a new mid-range GPU added to the lineup called the GTX 550 Ti.
Now for those of you who were gaming in 2002, you may recall the beloved Geforce Ti series or even owned one.
