In the end, the HIS IceQ X HD 6850 Turbo was nothing less than outright surprise. Not only did it look good, but it had the performance and overclocking to match. This card just LOVES to be overclocked and the IceQ X cooler shrugs off the initial thermal burden without even pondering a sweat.

Today we are looking at another 5000 series card from HIS, the HIS HD5850 iCooler V Turbo. The last HIS card we reviewed was the IceQ 5 5770 and in a similar fashion the HD5850 shares a factory pre-overclock.
HIS' Turbo Edition Radeon HD 5830 is a great option to consider if the HD 5830 is in your price range. With excellent cooling, build quality and the added bonus of including a full Direct11 game like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, for only US$289, it could be considered quite a bargain.
The HD 5830 has seen a fairly lackluster introduction into the lineup and has received mixed reviews. HIS has taken the HD 5830 and pumped it up with the iCooler V Turbo package. The HIS HD 5830 iCooler V Turbo 1GB offers good performance out of the box with a factory overclock and has a full complement of accessories to make it even more attractive.
Today we have another graphics card from HIS to test. This time around we will be focusing our attention on the HIS HD 5830 1GB PCI-e. This is a product that sits somewhere between the 5770 and 5850 both in terms of price and performance.
I really was impressed with the performance and value of HIS's HD 5670 IceQ 512MB video card. HIS always has had a different approach on video cards that makes them both more attractive and good cooling with their IceQ line and the HD 5670 IceQ is no exception. With native HDMI and DVI it makes a compelling card for a HTPC or desktop alike.
The HIS HD 5570 low profile accomplishes filling a void often left by other manufacturers who don't focus on HTPC videocards in their product lineup. Physically, there is nothing I can really pick out to be a fault for this videocard. The only thing I can mention as a disadvantage is the price.
As we have seen the HD 5570 is no gaming barn burner but it is certainly bringing more gaming power to entry level graphics. Combine this with all of the latest ATI features such as DX11, 7.1 audio, native HDMI, ATI Stream and ATI CrossfireX the HIS HD 5570 brings a lot to the table.
