AMD Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition Nachdem sich die Radeon HD 7970 der GeForce GTX 680 geschlagen geben musste, hat AMD eine schnellere Version entwickelt: Die Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition. Schlägt sie die GTX 680?

The SAPPHIRE HD 7970 OC Edition features SAPPHIRE’s Dual-X technology, which means it uses five heatpipe GPU cooler with dual fan to providing quiet and very cool operation during all usage scenarios. The SAPPHIRE HD 7970 OC Edition ships with a raised core clock speed of 950MHz, and 1425MHz for the memory. Its Dual BIOS switch allows users to select an even higher overclock of 1GHz core and 1450MHz memory by just flipping a switch. Read on to see how this card performs!

NVIDIA are ready to launch their latest 600 series GPU, the GTX 660 Ti and we have three factory overclocked models on our test bench today. First up is the EVGA SuperClocked, then the Palit JetStream and finally the Zotac AMP! We will put each up against overclocked versions of the GTX 670, 7950, 7870 and 560 Ti (44 in a selection of real world gaming tests including Max Payne 3 and Battlefield 3 to see where the GTX 660 Ti fits in.

Back in May (2012) NVIDIA released their $400 GeForce GTX 670 video card, securing the number two position in their single-GPU product stack. Just three short months later, the GeForce GTX 660 Ti graphics card arrived to market and filled store shelves at the $300 price point. With a substantial $100 price difference between these two product, consumers might (incorrectly) presume there's a significant difference in hardware or performance. To the surprise of many, the GeForce GTX 670 and GTX 660 Ti are nearly the same card. Both feature identical 28nm NVIDIA 'Kepler' GK104 graphics processors, complete with 1344 CUDA cores all clocked to identical 915 MHz core and 980 Boost speeds. Additionally, the GTX 670 and GTX 660 Ti also feature the exact same 2GB GDDR5 video memory buffer, clocked to 1502 MHz on both cards. The only physical difference between these two products resides in the memory subsystem: GeForce GTX 670 receives four 64-bit contro! llers (256-bit total bandwidth) while GeForce GTX 660 Ti is designed with three memory controllers (192-bit bandwidth). So does this amount to any real differences in video game performance?

If you're looking for a GeForce GTX 660 Ti, you have plenty to choose from. We previously reviewed the graphics cards from ASUS, EVGA and MSI, and now Gigabyte and Zotac sent us their versions as well. On August 16, Nvidia introduced the GeForce GTX 660 Ti, a new type of graphics card based on the same GK104 GPU as the faster GeForce GTX 670 and 680, but more affordable with prices around £250-£270. Initially Nvidia positioned the card against AMD's Radeon HD 7870. After some smart moves on the part of AMD and a higher price for the Nvidia card, the GeForce GTX 660 Ti is now is the direct competitor of the Radeon HD 7950. It's time for a six-card round-up to see which GTX 660 Ti comes out on top.

Gegen AMDs Radeon-HD-7700-Serie hat Nvidia bis jetzt noch kein Rezept gefunden. Das soll sich mit der GeForce GTX 650 ändern, die gegen die kleinere Radeon-Entwicklung antritt.
