NVIDIA has put up on Youtube a video of their "unreleased GPU" aka the GeForce GTX 580 at PDXLAN 16.5. The video shows Tom Petersen, Director of Technical Marketing at NVIDIA, introducing 'an upcoming' video card that we believe is the GeForce GTX 580. NVIDIA announced some of the upcoming technology of the video card that is worth looking at! Can you say vapor chamber cooling and a noise level of just 47dB?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 1536MB, as you may have expected, is both the absolute performance leader among single-GPU solutions and just the absolute leader, outperforming even the dual-GPU AMD Radeon HD 5970.

Everyone who waited for NVIDIA to launch their Fermi graphics architecture felt like they had held back once it was finally released. The GF100 graphics processor that was packaged into the GTX 480 used less than its full potential, and it didn't create the wide performance margin everyone expected between competitors. Seven months later, NVIDIA has returned with their updated Fermi GF110 GPU, delivering all 512 CUDA cores in the GeForce GTX 580. Featuring a tweaked graphics processor that runs much cooler and uses less power than the GTX 480, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 is tested by Benchmark Reviews against the Radeon 5970 and CrossFire 6870 video cards using the latest DirectX-11 video games.

A couple weeks ago we got an e-mail from ASUS that caught us a bit off guard. ASUS wanted to know if we were interested in a second sample of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 graphics card for SLI based testing. Of course we jumped at the opportunity as we would love to see what a pair of NVIDIA flagship video cards has to over in SLI and we are sure you would love to see the numbers as well. Read on to see how this setup does!

NVIDIA has recently released its fastest GPU to date, the GeForce GTX 580. Let's see how it compares to what was until then the fastest NVIDIA GPU, the GeForce GTX 480, and its competitors from AMD.

Designed around their flagship GeForce GTX 580 video card, they've combined two titanic graphics processors into a package roughly the same size, and still manage to produce the quietest dual-GPU video card ever made. With 512 CUDA cores each, two independent NVIDIA GF110 GPUs join to deliver 1024 total cores of graphical processing power. There are six 64-bit memory controllers that offer 384-bit combined bandwidth per GPU, and feed 3GB of combined GDDR5 video frame buffer. All of this is said to deliver comparable performance to the Radeon HD 6990, which is good for gamers, but it does so while using less power and emitting less noise. In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests the GeForce GTX 590 against the AMD Radeon HD 6990 and an entire market of top-end desktop graphics solutions.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 is a very powerful graphics card, a competitor to the recently announced Radeon HD 6990. It is much better in terms of cooler noise, its cooler being much quieter. So if you need a very powerful and quiet card, GeForce GTX 590 is your choice.

Generally you'd see us taking a look at the higher-end of the scale when it comes to graphics cards, but we also have to remember that while we all wish we could have the latest and greatest, this isn't sometimes the case and we have to look at lower-end options which is where the Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti comes into play.

Mit der GeForce GTX 650 Ti möchte Nvidia einen passenden Gegenspieler zur Radeon HD 7770 gefunden haben, der die AMD-Karte besiegen soll. Doch für wen ist die Karte interessant?
