The last few months have brought with them bugger all ATI samples which in turn has brought no real ATI coverage. Here at TweakTown the last ATI card we looked at was a very boring HD 5670 in June. The last time we really got excited about some ATI cards was back in May. The problem is that I don't think it’s really going to change today as we look at the HD 5550 which is a model ATI have decided to slap some GDDR5 on to. Already recognized as a low end card, we really wonder if the inclusion of this memory is going to make a difference.

The GTX 460 series has been nVidia’s finest card series in the current generation and the popularity is proving to help generate a good amount of revenue for the guys in green. Compared to other Fermi cards the GTX 460 uses less power, runs cooler and overclocks extremely well, even with plain air cooling.

For the week prior to the launch of the GTS 450 it's just been non-stop with samples of this card. It's clear that like the GTX 460, NVIDIA partners are keen to get their model out there to the market. It's been quite an interesting launch to be honest, with a few little surprises for me when it came to out of the box clocks.

Let’s see the performance of the first DirectX 11 mid-range graphics chip released by NVIDIA, the GeForce GTS 450.

For some the $200+ price tag associated with the GTX 460 continues to be too much and the new GTS 450 we've looked at over the past month seems to be doing a good job of filling that low $100 bracket that users on a budget no doubt appreciate.

KitGuru has been a vocal advocate of the GTX 460 – we believe it is the best value for money card on the market right now. Equally so we have also been singing the praises of AMD’s HD5770 since it was released, especially as a paired up, high performance, low cost Crossfire solution. What better than taking prime examples of each set up, clocking them to extremes and launching them at each other, using KitGuru’s Large Hadron Benchmark Collider? Don your safety gear and let the smashing begin!

This case has fantastic white styling and brilliant functionality with a completely tool-less design. It's considered a mid-tower chassis, but will house the latest full size ATX motherboards, and plenty of storage devices too.

Today we have one of the top end GTX 470's on our test bench, the Gigabyte GTX 470 Super Overclock. It features custom PCB, cooler and the fastest core we have seen on a GTX 470 to date. We will be putting it through a selection of tests including Medal of Honor, Fallout New Vegas (3D Vision), F1 2010 (DX11 Patch) and 3D Blu-Ray playback to find out how much Gigabyte have improved on the reference design.

Sapphire rarely does anything half-heartedly though and the focus of today's review is their take on an enhanced 6850. This is more than just a new cooler and factory overclock though as they have completely changed the product to enhance its performance and overclocking potential. Read on to find out how it performs in real world gameplay with the latest games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops, F1 2010 (DX11 patch) and Medal of Honor. Of course our usual content is also covered including 5760x1080 testing (with videos and screenshots), Blu-Ray 3D playback, AMD HD3D gameplay, GPU computing and a section on just how far we could push the Toxic.
