Firing up 3DMark 11 we ended up with a score of P3580 which is exactly what we'd expect from the HD 7770. It's not a bad score, but our issue has always been compared to the HD 6870 which sits at a similar price point at the moment, the HD 7770 comes off looking quite overpriced.
What was really nice though was the cooler which let the GPU sit at 35c when idle and still quite a cool 51c at load. More surprising, though, was the cooler which came in at 54.4dB at idle and 55.1dB at load. These are good numbers which see this as the second coolest running card and quietest active cooled card we've tested recently.

The latest card to get the IceQ treatment from the team over at HIS comes in the form of the HD 7870 IceQ Turbo. When it comes to HIS cards, this is a model that carries our two favorite words. "IceQ" that lets us know we're dealing with a new cooler and "Turbo" which lets us know we're dealing with a pre-overclocked card.
While we'll get into more details on the overclock soon, because the Turbo clock on offer from the HIS card was similar to that of the PowerColor PCS+ HD 7870 we've just looked at, we figured we'd fire up some overclocking software and see how the new HD 7870 goes in the overclocking department; an area we haven't looked in yet.

Based on a custom design the XFX Radeon R7850 Black Edition Double Dissipation is factory overclocked and has a familiar look to the more expensive 7900 series XFX cards. Today we will take a look at it in a selection of the latest games to find out what it offers over a standard design. Additionally we will be taking a look at the various anti-aliasing modes available on the XFX card and how they affect performance and image quality.

Last week we reviewed the excellent Sapphire HD7850 Overclock Edition and XFX have sent us their competing part – the XFX HD7850 Black Edition. This card features a even higher overclock, to 975mhz on the core with a custom two fan metal cooling solution. The big question, is this better than the Sapphire solution?

TechwareLabs reviews the Sapphire HD 7850 OC showing a reasonably priced Radeon card with Eyefinity puts up benchmark numbers that challenge or surpass the NVIDIA 500 series. We benchmark the HD 7850 OC on a PCI 3.0 and PCI 2.0 motherboard to see if the HD 7850 OC has what it takes to take advantage of this new technology.

We should start to see that all change over the coming months, not only because we have the new GTX 680, but we'll see NVIDIA fill out the GTX 600 series line over the next few months while we then see their partners offer us fancy new variants of the model. Next up we'll see the GTX 670 in May of course followed by the GTX 660, 650 and low-end models.

The Palit GTX 680 JetStream is a factory overclocked 3 slot, triple fan cooled card which aims to show the competition how a GTX 680 should be done. We will be putting it through a selection of real world gaming tests including Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim as well as overclocking it to the limit...
