Our other editorials today focus on the new AMD HD7770 1GHZ graphics card, which is the higher end model in the 77xx range. In this review however we look at the HIS HD7750, a card which aims to target the budget aware gaming audience.

This morning NVIDIA announced two new graphics cards that bring Kepler to every gamer: the GeForce GTX 660 and the GeForce GTX 650. The GeForce GTX 660 provides an ideal combination of performance, price, and power efficiency, hitting the gamer’s sweet spot and that is the card that we will be reviewing today. Read on to see how a pair of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 cards by MSI and EVGA do in our tests!

The maximum speed officially supported by an Intel Core i3/i5 CPU is 1333MHz, and most will know too well that that even lower priced Intel H55/P55 Motherboards can support a 200 BCLK. If you like to dabble in the dark art of overclocking there are a few good reasons to choose a 2000MHz (PC3-16000) RAM kit. Firstly you have the options of lower voltage and tighter timings at lower speeds, and next you have the added benefit of higher memory bandwidth at the top speed. Last but not least though is the overclocking headroom, sure you could try to push your 1600MHz kit to 2000MHz but there are not too many kits that will do that, and you will certainly have to pay a premium. G.Skill have a broad range of DDR3 RAM from basic to extreme, today Benchmark Reviews will be testing the G.Skill Ripjaws 2000MHz CL9 Dual Channel 1.55v 8GB Kit (PN: F3-16000CL9D-8GBRM) priced at $209.99 for your reading pleasure.

Nvidia erteilt den Startschuss für die GeForce-GTX-700-Serie. Den Anfang macht das Flaggschiff GeForce GTX 780, ein Ableger der außerordentlich erfolgreichen GTX Titan.

NVIDIA tends to dominate the field when it comes to graphics processing power, leaving AMD scrambling to remain competitive by reducing prices on their products to add value for an aging technology. Recently the AMD Radeon R9 290X was revealed as the brand’s flagship graphics card, virtually occupying future shelf space for around $599 and expected to compete against NVIDIA’s less-expensive GeForce GTX 780 that has been available since May (2013). Not one to allow competition into their high-end territory, NVIDIA pushes back with the introduction of GeForce GTX 780 Ti. Capable of producing the fastest and most efficient graphics power ever available, GeForce GTX 780 Ti offers 25% more processing cores than GTX 780 while leaving room to deliver record-level 336 GB/sec GDDR5 memory bandwidth so to leave no doubt who controls the top-end of discreet graphics.!

As impressive as reference cards can be when they are introduced, it’s always impressive to see what all of the manufactures do with them when they have a little time to toy with the overclocks and fit their aftermarket cooling designs. A good example would be the card I’m going to take a look at today. The MSI GTX 760 Hawk looks similar to the GTX 780 Gaming that I recently took a look at, but with a yellow theme that would go perfectly with their new Z87 M Power motherboard. I wonder how it will perform compared to the reference GTX 760 as well as the aftermarket cards. They set the mark high, so MSI is going to have their work cut out for them.

The Radeon HD 6670 video card from AMD comes with interesting features like UVD 3.0, Eyefinity with 3 video outputs and offers decent performance in games, while using lower resolutions like 1280x1024, 1600x1200 or 1680x1050, making it a card to consider when building a HTPC system.
