Buying a $400 graphics card is certainly not where the majority of people are when it comes to building their own systems. The fact is that the best selling video cards are still in that $100 and under price range. Today, we look at a card that falls into that category, the Gigabyte HD 5670. Read on to see how it compares to the NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT, which was a very popular card a couple years back!

Der Catalyst 12.4 WHQL nimmt als neuster AMD-Treiber viele Änderungen an der Bildqualität vor. Die meisten davon sind gut, doch eine stößt uns etwas sauer auf.

There was nothing wrong with Nvidia's reference cooler, but this round-up proves there are some nice alternatives as well. MSI has a good card with the N680GTX Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC, it's slightly overclocked, cools better, and it is also the most silent out of all cards we tested. MSI's Lightning card is the fastest card with also the best overclocking potential, but it's loud. If you're not planning on extreme overclocking, then our vote goes to the ASUS GTX680-DC2T-2GD5.

Finishing up the GTX 600 series for the most part we check out the GTX 650 Ti Power Edition from MSI.

Last week Sapphire Technology became the first company to offer a Radeon HD 7790 series of graphics cards with 2GB of GDDR5 memory. We take Sapphire's overclocked Radeon HD 7790 video cards with 1GB and 2GB of memory to see how they perform in games and which one is the best bang for the buck. Read on to see how these mainstream cards do when put to the test!

The PNY VERTO GeForce GT 240 supports Direct X 10.1, DirectCompute, native HDMI 1.3a and has a built-in HDMI audio processor. Not bad features for a single slot PCI Express graphics card that costs just $89 after rebate. We test the PNY VERTO GeForce GT 240 on several games and then dive deeper and look at power consumption, temperatures, overclocking and some F@H performance numbers!

When you think of graphics cards and manufacturers, you automatically think of NVIDIA and the GTX range; regardless of what side of the fence you are on. Without a doubt, they produce some of the best graphics cards in the world, but that performance comes at a hefty price, the current most powerful single GPU card sits at around $950; not exactly sofa change. Today we have the newest Maxwell based graphics card and the first (and likely only) Ti model of the GTX 900 series; the GeForce GTX 980Ti.

Today we published a rather special article. We took 64 graphics cards from the last five years, and tested each one with our current graphics benchmarks. It is quite interesting to see how each successive generation of AMD (ATI back then) and Nvidia video cards pushed performance to another level. We started with the ATI Radeon HD 3000 series and the Nvidia GeForce 8000 series, which were the first DirectX 10-compatible video cards. We picked the high-end cards from each generation, and also the mid-range ones. Surprisingly, a lot of these hold up quite well, even in today’s demanding video games. If your PC is still running on an old graphics card, now you can see exactly how much (or how little) you will gain if you buy a newer one.
