If you have just built a new system and want to pick up a capable, yet inexpensive graphics card then there are no shortage of options available under £150. Today we are looking at the Sparkle GTX650 Ti Dragon Series priced around the £120 inc vat mark. Is this card capable of powering the latest Direct X 10 and Direct X 11 titles at HD resolution? Today we aim to find out.

If you want to play the top DX11 game these days a high-end card is a must. The HIS Radeon HD 6850 Turbo with IceQ X cooling is a really nice card at a really reasonable price. This card should keep up with the other cards in its class in the performance benchmarks, but stay way cooler than most of them since it uses an aftermarket GPU cooler. We put it to the test against several other AMD Radeon HD 6850 video cards to see which comes out on top!

Two days ago AMD allowed us to review, in a limited capacity, their new R9 280X. Today the review restrictions are released so we can now compare different versions of the card and that starts with Gigabytes R9 280X Windforce 3X model in its factory overclocked form. We will be comparing it to the two closest NVIDIA models (pricing wise) in the form of the GTX 760 and 770 (both OC models) as well as the part the 280X replaces, the 7970 GHZ. Added in is another 280X OC model and we are testing on the latest i7-4960X CPU, Windows 8.1 and games such as Battlefield 4, F1 2013 and Total War: Rome 2.

Today we are checking out our third Radeon R9 280X graphics card. The previous two cards were from Sapphire and Gigabyte and both those cards featured factory overclocks and custom cooling solutions. That card we are taking a look at today is no different. The ASUS Radeon R9 280X DirectCU II TOP features a factory overclock up to 1070 MHz, ASUS’s own DirectCU II cooling solution, DIGI+ VRM with 12-phase Super Alloy Power, and ASUS’s own GPU Tweak utility for easy tuning and monitoring of the card. Will this be your choice when looking at a Radeon R9 280X? Read on and find out!

Sapphire did a good thing by bringing a feature rich HD4850 videocard on the market that won't break the bank, but isn't holding back any performance. The card is priced well, relatively fast, quiet and overclocks very well.

It is a fact that most of us PC hardware enthusiasts are so concerned with what is happening at the high end of the graphics card market, that lower end cards like the GTX550 get forgotten among the more outrageously powerful, and sometimes outrageously expensive, cards out there. However, the lower end cards are what sell the best to the mainstream users who want to game without spending £200 on a top end card, but are clever enough not to opt for a console! More importantly though, the lower power found in these cards give manufacturers such as GIGABYTE the ability to do some amazing things with them, such as silent cooling and high overclocks. This is exactly what a buyer is looking for and appears to be exactly what GIGABYTE is offering- we will see how it does this later on.
