Now Sapphire are expanding their 6670 range with the introduction of the (silent) Ultimate Edition and today we have that version of the card on our test bench. We will be running it through a selection of real world tests which include DiRT 3 and The Witcher 2 as well as HD playback with GPU computing rounding things off.

Video Cards are an expensive part of the system building process and/or can be a large expense in the upgrade budget. With E3 2011 going on this weekend a lot of earth shattering titles are being shown and most computer enthusiasts want to be able to play the games in their full technological glory, including AMD’s immersive Eyefinity technology, however the largest part of the video card consumers will simply be ecstatic if they can even get the game to run on their machine.

We all remember the 5000 series cards from AMD and how much of an impact they had to the market by offering great performance at a fantastic price point. Shortly after this era, the 6000 series arrived on the scene offering better tessellation and technical effects for that similar pricing structure.

Although the HIS Radeon HD 6950 IceQ X Turbo X 2GB (H695QNX2G2M) may not be the fastest single card out there still its very good overall performance along with its great overclocking potential, low noise levels and Eyefinity multi-monitor support result in a great product.

The GeForce GTX 560 is a strange GPU, in the sense that its manufacturer, NVIDIA, doesn't set default clock rates for it. Therefore, it is up to the video card manufacturer to decide which clocks to use. The GeForce GTX 560 Multiview from Zotac works internally at 820 MHz, accesses memory at 4 GHz through a 256-bit interface, and has its processing engines working at 1,640 MHz the same clock rates used on the standard GeForce GTX 560 Ti. The only difference between the two is the number of shader engines (336 vs. 384 on the Ti version). The Multiview model from Zotac allows you to connect up to three video monitors, a feature not available on regular models.

Trying to purchase a graphics card on a budget is always a tough choice because you are always wondering what another $50.00 could have gotten you. ASUS wanted us to see what you could get for that extra cash on a GeForce GTX560 and has a card with a 15% overclock and quiet cooling to boot. Legit plugs this budget board into one of our test systems to see how it performs against the NVIDIA GeFore GTX 560 reference design!

Today we will be taking a look at the ASUS GTX560 Ti DirectCU II TOP graphics card, an Nvidia-based Fermi GPU priced at roughly $250. Much like the R6850, this is an overclocked edition card that bumps the core clock up to 900 MHz and the shader clock to 1800 MHz; defaults for each are 810 MHz / 1620 MHz. Technology differences aside, it's no secret that many people shop with their wallets alone, so the aim of this comparison review is to see what sort of improvement you can from a quality $250 video card versus something a bit cheaper.

Purchasing a video card can be very confusing. Looking at the different model lines and features across multiple manufacturers boasting over clocked memory, or specialty cooling can be enough to make your head spin. Focusing on AMD there are two series that are Direct x 11 compatible the 5000 and 6000 series GPU's. Released in 2010 the 6000 series cards are the second generation DX 11 GPU's and offer AMD PowerTune technology making the cards more energy efficient with lower operating temperatures. Today we have the Sapphire Vapor-X HD6850, here is what Sapphire has to say:
