Last week we reviewed the overclocked XFX HD7870 Black Edition graphics card, and today we look at the Sapphire HD7870 Overclock Edition. This card features a custom cooler, with twin fans and overclocked out of the box settings to appeal to the enthusiast audience.

AMD have been in charge of the DX11 battlefield since their HD5000 series cards were released last year. It took nVidia many more months to come to market with competitive solutions and while their GTX480 and GTX470 received a half hearted welcome, the GTX460 has literally taken the mid market by storm. There a whole heap of partners that work with AMD to manufacture graphics cards and with the release of the 7790, I've looked at a card from virtually every major player in the market. It's very rare that this happens to be quite honest as I typically only see three or four cards at a time for each class of card but there's nothing wrong in breaking the mould a little and overall getting one of the most extensive data sets for Bonaire going.
PowerColor is a partner that I've not worked before, but this is not to say that their product is not worth looking at.
