EVGA teamed up with Swiftech to deliver a water cooling solution for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 'For The Win' edition video card that makes it hard to ignore. The EVGA Hydro Copper waterblock uses a 0.6x0.6mm thin pin matrix, and the base plate is made of chrome plated electrolytic C110 copper which gives it a clean look. The integrated heat pipe connects to the power mosfet heatsink for optimal cooling and the end result is a card capable of massive overclocks!

Avant même que le caméléon n'ait eu la possibilité de répliquer à cette offensive sur le haut de gamme, AMD déroule sa Road Map des puces "Southern Islands" avec Cape Verde situé à l'autre extrémité de l'échelle des performances, le fondeur ayant décidé de ne pas lancer de puce d'entrée de gamme sur cette génération, réservant ce créneau à ces APU et ses HD 6600. Que valent donc les HD 7700 équipées de ce GPU et destinées au volumineux segment de marché "Mainstream" ?

Today the particular card we're looking at is the ASUS HD 6970 DirectCU II one. I've quickly become a fan of the DirectCU II cooler for the simple fact it's proven to do an extremely good job when it comes to giving us low temperatures at low noise levels. The biggest gripe people have with the model is that it's of course a triple slot card.
The Radeon R9 290 GPU came out in November 2013, making it almost 6 months old, and while it isn’t the top of the line model it still has some impressive specifications. Powered by a single 28nm AMD Hawaii GPU, it features 2560 Stream processors running at 947MHz, and 4GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 5000MHz. Sapphire has taken those specifications and boosted them a little with their Overclocked edition. The Stream processors are running at 1030MHz, and the 4GB GDDR5 memory has been clocked to 5600MHz. Sapphire doesn’t stop there, they have also added their Tri-X Cooling which features three fans rather than the standard two fans...
Wer jetzt noch kurz vor Weihnachten eine Grafikkarte verschenken oder kaufen möchte, sollte sich um die "günstigeren" Geforce GTX 770 umschauen. Diese sind seit der Veröffentlichung deutlich vom Preis gefallen und auch alternative Kühllösungen lassen keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben uns die EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclocked ACX Cooler etwas genauer angesehen, die genau in das Beuteschema passt.
