Many graphics card vendors have different ranges through which they group cards based on different levels of tweaked performance and for MSI this has mainly resided around the top level Lightning series cards, much like the GTX 680 Lightning that we looked at mid last year in June and the lower entry level HAWK range that offered up value options for the budget user. MSI however have noted that there is a gap to be filled in between these two card ranges and this is where the Power Edition range of cards come into play.
We have always been impressed with the high end MSI graphics cards, thanks in part to the excellent Twin Frozr cooling solutions. Today we look at the latest GTX 670 Power Edition which features a factory configured overclock and the latest Twin Frozr IV cooler. Is this the ideal card to be shortlisting for a new gaming system?
The long-awaited mid-range Kepler cards are finally here, with NVIDIA partners releasing their own unique takes on the GTX GeForce 660Ti GPU. MSI brings some of the features of their Lightning series down to this level, with enhanced power circuitry, triple voltage control, and even the auto dust-removing Twin Frozr cooler. La question est pertinente, on se souvient du même type de carte proposé avec la génération précédente, la GTX 560, qui avait connu un certain recul de performances par rapport à la GTX 560 Ti. The MSI N660 Gaming features an NVIDIA GTX 660 GPU with a factory over clock and an upgraded cooling solution The N660 Gaming seprates itself from it's N660 TF sibling by having a newer version of the Twin Frozr IV cooler and an application to utilize 3 overclocking presets. The upgraded cooler's fans are 12mm larger in diameter and te heatsink has a built in deflector plate to get more air moving directly over the heatpipes.
When searching for a new video card you are often presented with a wide variety of things to consider from overall price and performance to which cooling method matches my style of gaming and overclocking.
If you look at the GTX 650Ti Boost product offerings you have two basic choices. You can either go with a reference designed card as released by NVidia or select one of the hot-clocked editions like the MSI N650Ti Boost. Of course the second of these promises higher performance with a great price point for gamers.

The thing is, to be completely honest, I'm not the biggest fan when it comes to these huge memory cards because they do tend to carry a decent bump in price, but extra performance tends to be limited.
