Today we have four GTX 560 Ti 448 Core cards in our system with models from ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI and ZOTAC all looking to persuade consumers to part with their hard earned money.

Today AMD release the first card in their 7000 series – the high end HD7970, which is built on the latest 28nm manufacturing process. AMD’s HD6970 was a huge success for the company, so the replacement card is certainly going to get a lot of media attention over the coming weeks. AMD claim it has ‘significantly more compute power than the HD6970′ with a brand new revolutionary architecture. With new technologies such as ‘ZeroCore’ power saving, is this the discrete solution to start 2012 with a bang?

AMD have lifted their partner NDA today, and in this review we will be looking at the performance of two HIS HD7970′s in a Crossfire configuration. We already know that one of these cards has claimed the top ‘single GPU’ performance spot from Nvidia’s GTX580, so how will two of them handle a variety of DX10/11 game engines across both single screen and multi screen configurations?

After that we moved onto the HIS HD 7970 3GB and took the time to overclock it to see just what kind of potential was on offer from the brand new model. Today the Sapphire HD 7970 3GB showed up and it was time to see what happens when we finally put together a pair of these new cards and see what kind of performance we're able to get out of the new models when in CrossFire.
As always, before we get into the performance side of things, we've got to take a closer look at the box and the package before we take a closer look at the card itself. Once we've done that we'll quickly cover the specifications and make sure CrossFire is working before we get into the testbed side of things and of course check out the performance.

Today AMD release their new HD7950 graphics card, tackling the GTX580 ‘head on’ at the same price point. When we were finally in a position to review HD7970 partner hardware, XFX stole the show thanks to a dramatically effective, highly modified ‘Double Dissipation’ version of the card with dual fan cooler. Today we are looking at their HD7950 which on paper promises the same heady combination of performance and cooling efficiency.

Bericht: AMD Radeon HD 7900Einige Wochen sind seit der Vorstellung der Radeon-7900-Serie vergangen. Wir haben die Zeit genutzt, um weitere Details über die „neue Generation“ in Erfahrung zu bringen.

Following the launch of the 7900 series cards from AMD, how are they offering next generation graphics - for everyone, with the HD 7750 Pro?

Installing a fourth was just a natural progression and while it would've been nice to have our old Eyefinity setup up and running over here in my test area in Taiwan, it's currently in retirement. Still, we've got our faithful 30" Dell monitor that has been serving us well for years and we'll be able to see how single monitor 2560 x 1600 performance looks with this setup.
Today we've got a video card from a company we haven't heard heaps from. VisionTek has been around for ages and while we've looked at a nice kit of RAM from them, we haven't seen anything in the VGA side of things yet. Since this is a HD 7970 we haven't looked at yet the first thing we've got to do is check out the bundle that's going on.

Benchmark Reviews has reviewed the XFX versions of AMD's new Tahiti-based Radeon 7970 and 7950 video cards. They provided ground-breaking single-GPU performance (both were faster overall than the NVIDIA GTX 580), but at very high prices. While these cards do a good job of supporting the very high end video card market, many more users will gravitate towards less expensive options. The Cape Verde GPUs represent the low end of AMD's new Graphics Core Next GPU line and today we have the XFX R7770 Black Super Overclocked Edition card to test.
