Prior to the launch of the new Sandy Bridge-E platform, we have to work our way through the AMD based boards we received. Today we're looking at the ASUS M5A97 Evo and this is one of the more interesting boards we've looked at due to the fact it carries with it a price tag of only $119 US.

With X79 arriving onto the scene, the high-end market has been filled and is something that only the insanely rich can afford. Z68 can still be expensive too, when we look at the likes of the G1 Sniper 2 board which is pricey, but does offer a lot of features that no other board on the market can offer such as X-Fi sound and a Killer NIC onboard chip.

One of the oldest tricks to increase the probability of a successful overclocking is to increase the voltage from the component you want to overclock. Nowadays, even entry-level motherboards present some voltage adjustments, with high-end models coming with a myriad of them. The problem is that even hardcore enthusiasts have a hard time understanding what each option really means. In this tutorial, we will explain the exact meaning of each one of them in clear language.

Today we're going to review a top motherboard from ASRock. Actually, company's P55 series isn't very long, and even the second top P55 Extreme is more of a decent mid-end product. But P55 Deluxe is definitely a top solution with both rich features (SLI, 3 graphics slots, dual Gigabit LAN, top-class integrated audio, FireWire, USB/eSATA, etc.) and a nice addition to the bundle -- a SATA 3.0 daughterboard.

The Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK is a high-end socket LGA1150 motherboard based on the new Intel Z97 chipset, supporting the fourth and the forthcoming fifth generation Core i processors. It brings high-end network and audio interfaces, four PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, ten SATA-600 ports (allowing one SATA Express connection), and eight USB 3.0 ports. Let's take a good look at it.

Motherboards like GA-770TA-UD3 show that company's technical marketing department earns its salt. Today's model is clearly designed for gradual upgrade, for users who want to continue using peripherals they already have and be able to use new devices as well.

MSI is letting us show off some pictures of their Z77A-GD65. The MSI Z77A-GD65 is designed for Intels 22nm processors that will be coming out later this year. We aren't able to do any testing with the MSI Z77A-GD65, but we can take a look at the motherboard itself and some of the features. Join us as we take a sneak peek at the MSI Z77A-GD65 'Ivy Bridge' Motherboard.
