Earlier today DHL came and delivered Gigabyte's newest motherboard on the market; the A75M-UD2H which supports the latest new Llano APU's from AMD. Whilst AMD have an NDA in place forbidding us to divulge any information on the APU or its performance we were able to take a first look at the motherboard and its main features that it includes.

The P67 chipset continues to be very present on the market; it shows by the fact that we looked at the Maximus IV Extreme from ASUS just the other week, and if you head on over to Newegg, there's a load of P67 based motherboards not only listed, but also in stock. Today we're looking at another P67 based board and this one comes from ASRock. The particular board we're looking at today falls into the new Fatal1ty series from ASRock which has so far seen the Fatal1ty P67 Professional. Today we're looking at the Fatal1ty P67 Performance, a board that comes in cheaper than the original Professional version.

The Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z motherboard is no ‘cut down’ half assed product. As it is a ‘Republic Of Gamers’ product, it brings a wealth of enthusiast grade overclocking and tweaking options to the table. It supports the latest Sandybridge ‘K’ range of processors and officially can support 32gb of DDR3 memory up to a frequency of 2400mhz. It has onboard SupremeFX X-Fi 2 for ultimate sound quality and also supports both CrossfireX and Sli configurations. The Z68 platform is set to give Intel a ‘fresh’ start for Sandybridge.

Llano is the new toy at the moment with lots of speculation flying around about the performance and potential from these new processors and their FM1 socket motherboards so we thought it would be fitting to give you a sneak peak into what is on offer from Asus and their FM1 board; the F1A75-M Pro.

Just over a week ago we looked at our first Llano motherboard which came from GIGABYTE in the form of the A75-UD4H. It looked good, but until we're able to throw our AMD APU into it, we won't know the full potential of both the board and the platform. While we're still a few days away from the NDA lifting on the APU itself, ASUS has lifted the NDA on their motherboard today which gives us the opportunity to give you a preview of what exactly they're offering.

Just after the launch of the Z68 chipset, we managed to look at a mATX board from ASRock in the form of the Pro3-M. Priced at $114.99 US, it's a good value board, but with a maximum overclock of less than 5GHz on our 2600k, our hopes for something that could offer a bit more power while sticking to the mATX platform would continue.
