AMD released the 780G IGP chipset earlier this year, with its highly-acclaimed onboard HD3200 graphics and an emphasis on multimedia and casual gaming. While originally paired with the SB700 southbridge, the new SB750 began showing up on 790FX/GX boards in mid-summer, and has by now begun to filter down to some of the lower end chipsets such as this one, the A780GM-A Ultra from ECS. One new feature of the SB750 is support for AMD's Advanced Clock Control, which is supposed to help achieve higher and more stable overclocks. ECS completes the A780GM-A Ultra with AMD OverDrive capability, solid caps, integrated VRM heatsink and support for up to 160W for the CPU.

Out of the ASUS boards we've looked at which include the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme, the ASUS Sabertooth X79 along with the P9X79 Deluxe we linked to just above as well, the P9X79 Pro is actually the cheapest option out of the four boards we've checked out. What does the drop in price mean, though?

The ASUS Z87-A is a mid-range socket LGA1150 motherboard targeted for the "Haswell" processors (fourth-generation Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors), debuting at a very affordable price. Let's see what this motherboard has to offer.

The Rampage II Gene was a pint sized rocket of a board delivering all the performance and features you'd expect from a full ATX flagship in a Micro ATX format. With the introduction of important features like USB 3.0 and 6Gbps SATA, the Gene II is starting to look a little overpriced and outdated however, particularly when compared to other products available like the excellent P6X58D-E we reviewed not long ago. Asus addresses this problem with the release of the Rampage III Gene, essentially a next generation update to its predecessor.

ASRock have been making a name for themselves in the last year, moving up through the ranks from ‘budget’ brand, to a serious player in the enthusiast marketplace. Today we are looking at their flagship Fatal1ty Z68 Professional Gen 3 motherboard and putting it through a variety of game and synthetic benchmark tests with an overclocked Core i7 2600k processor and CrossfireX graphics.

It's time for a new Intel chipset: the Z77 Express chipset replaces last year's Z68 chipset and its predecessor P67 chipset. Aside from the support for what MSI calls "third generation Intel Core processors", the Z77 brings some enhanced features like native SuperSpeed USB 3.0. MSI's not satisfied with letting the Z77 stand on its own, though, and adds its own unique features to their MSI Z77A-GD65 board. Benchmark Reviews tests this new motherboard and compares its performance and features against a top-end Z68 motherboard. Is an upgrade for your rig warranted? Read on...

While the initial Fusion product, Brazos was seen with a lot of mITX offerings, we always said that a bit more power would be appreciated. In steps the Llano platform; the problem with that was initially we didn't see any mITX boards that could carry the new crop of APUs from AMD. That's changed today, though, as we look at the A75M-ITX.
