This N7AD-SLI motherboard from ASRock certainly had potential to be what it was created to be: an affordable enthusiast board that, while not a top dog, would be a great overclocker, and a board that would allow for upgrades like SLI. Performance on this board was decent, but we were left wondering how much better it would have been if we had not had the limitations that we had in setting our DDR timings ...

Perhaps a not very well known company in the US, Jetway brings interesting budget products to the market. Having released many motherboard in the past Jetway takes on a new challenge in Intel's X58 chipset. For review here we have Jetway Kuroshio BI-600, sometimes known as JBI-600-LF.

ASUS has sent over some pictures of their upcoming Intel P67 Express chipset powered motherboards and today we are going to show them to you and give you an idea on what you can expect on the next generation of motherboards. These motherboards are for the upcoming Intel 'Sandy Bridge' processors that use a new CPU socket called LGA 1155. The upcoming LGA 1155 socket is rumored to be launching during CES 2011 and you got to see these new boards!

The introduction of the first member of the new Cougar Point chipset family, the Z77 Express, happened several weeks before the availability of the Sandy Bridge CPUs they were designed for, so we've seen a number of these motherboards become available at retail recently. ASUS has provided Benchmark Reviews with a sample of their top-end P8Z77-V Deluxe LGA1155 motherboard, which may well set a new high-water marks for "most features crammed onto a motherboard."

The Intel Q67 chipset is targeted to the enterprise segment, i.e., desktop computers inside a big corporation. It is basically an H67 chipset with remote management and security technologies, allowing system and network administrators to manage and maintain the computers inside the company remotely, significantly lowering maintenance costs and decreasing the time required to fix and update the computers. Let's see the features brought by the ASUS P8Q67-M DO/CSM motherboard.

Even before I took over the Motherboard category here at TweakTown, I'd been using ASRock boards for a while since my VGA and RAM testbeds both used them. ASRock make some great boards, but there was always one little problem with them. Aesthetically they never looked great and considering what a shallow world we live in these days, the overall look of the boards were probably a little bit of a downer for some people.

Rising energy costs, a changing usage model, increased processor functionality, increased processing power per watt and clock tick means the old big box/high end CPU combo is becoming a thing of the past. ASUS is following this curve by offering a solution (one of many) in the low power E45M1-I. By building on the AMD Brazos platform, in this case the 1650Mhz AMD E450 APU, ASUS “brings it” with functionality and tweak-ability. This setup is not a benchmarking monster or a gaming giant (not much gaming at all) but it appears that it could be a real winner where utility is concerned.

The ASUS P7P55D Deluxe motherboard is ideal for serious gamers and power users. The two-chip layout conserves power and delivers advanced performance tuning for a smoother, more realistic experience. Plus, Asus has pushed the envelope for the standard DDR3 memory specification, hitting speeds of 2133 MHz. The ASUS P7P55D Deluxe also both NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technologies.
