The MSI X79A-GD65 isn't all that new to us, as earlier in the month we did a full preview on it. Today, though, we get to dive a little deeper into the board and cover some of the stuff we couldn't at the time, including the BIOS and the latest rendition of ClickBIOS II.

X79 motherboards are just starting to hit retailers now, and at this point the Z68 series motherboard architecture remains one of the better performing and more affordable options on the market. In this review we will take a look at the ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe Z68 LGA 1155 motherboard which supports the very latest second generation Intel Core i7, i5, and i3 processors.

When it comes to motherboards, ECS probably isn't one of the first names that pop into your head. Instead it will be companies like ASUS, ASRock, GIGABYTE and MSI. Earlier in the year, though, we checked out the A75 based ECS A75F-A and it did a good job of impressing us and being a pretty nice all round board.
Today, though, we take the time to check out something a lot higher end in the form of the Intel X79 based X79R-AX. We saw ECS do a pretty good job with the lower end A75 board; it will be interesting to see how they handle the new high end chipset from Intel along with our high end i7 3960X CPU.

We had a chance to meet with EVGA this morning and they had most of their usual stuff on display. What caught our eyes were the latest version of the EVGA Classified SR-2, the SR-X. The EVGA SR-X is a Dual Intel LGA2011 socket motherboard and it will support nearly 100 Gb of memory! The other EVGA Products that caught our eyes were a series of power supplies that EVGA is going to be releasing in 2012!

Intel’s Z68 chipset has been out for sometime now and it brings together some of the best features of Intel’s P67 and H67 chipsets. Today we are taking a look at another Intel Z68 motherboard, this time it is the Z68XP-UD4 from Gigabyte. Gigabyte has loaded with motherboard with features like a 16 phase power design, Intel Quick Sync video, switchable graphics with LucidLogix Virtu GPU virtualization, and Gigabyte’s new touch BIOS. Read on as we take this board through the paces and see what it can do!

The BIOSTAR TPower X79 is the first 'budget' board for the Intel X79 chipset the Legit Reviews has had the pleasure to look at. The TPower X79 will be stacked up against some of the best motherboards in the market today! How will this 'budget' board compare to the flagship motherboards from companies like ASUS and GIGABYTE? Guess you'll have to join us to find out!

While the motherboard side of things has been a bit quieter recently, a couple of good looking ones have arrived that we need to get stuck into. While it looks like the video card market isn't going to slow down any time soon, the motherboard market on the other hand is about to go into overdrive as we see the launch of the Intel Z77 Express Ivy Bridge platform soon.
The most recent board we're looking at today comes from MSI and is the latest to be part of the Big Bang series. The Intel X79 Express based Big Bang XPower II looks the part, but how does it go when we get past its looks?

We have been hearing a lot about Intel’s 3rd generation Core processors and the Z77 chipset. The Z77 chipset is made to be an upgrade from the current Z68 chipset. Using many of the same technologies as the Z68 chipset the Z77 also adds support for the Virtu Universal MVP, native USB 3.0 support, Smart Connect and Rapid Start. Today we are taking a look at our first motherboard based on the Intel Z77 chipset the Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H. This motherboard is one of the twelve Z77 motherboards Gigabyte has announced. It is set to be their mainstream Z77 offering so let’s just right in and take a look.
