La belle Lynnfield eut comme mission de transposer au commun des mortels la grosse débauche de puissance contenue dans la plate-forme X58 + Core i7 9xx. Elle y parvint assez bien avec cependant un chipset très castré, le P55, qui lui valut des moqueries pas franchement imméritées. Puis au bout d'une petite année, Intel décida qu'il était temps pour elle de raccrocher les crampons, alors qu'elle venait d'accueillir les premiers CPU 32nm de la firme, mais hélas aucun n'était quadcore et donc à même de conserver un peu d'intérêt pour le LGA1156. Sandy arriva et ce fut le glas qui sonna pour Lynnfield. Pour autant, Asrock a continué à développer des solutions bizarres complètement hors de la mouvance, et c'est tant mieux. Car la firme est la seule à proposer une carte mère P67, chipset dévolu au LGA1155 , po ur les CPU LGA1156 Lynnfield ce qui en théorie est censé effacer les grosses lacunes du P55 niveau débits Sata 6Gbps et USB3.0. Voilà donc le tour du propriétaire de cette carte mère atypique, mais pas dénuée d'intérêt, loin de là !
