The Z77 Extreme9 is the most high-end socket 1155 motherboard from ASRock targeted to the "Ivy Bridge" processors (third-generation Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors). Let's see what the ASRock Z77 Extreme9 has to offer.

Intel always sends reviewers their top-end motherboards when new CPUs are introduced. Called "Extreme Boards", these motherboards are designed for "extreme performance" and festooned with skulls. The past Intel Extreme Boards I've looked at came with early, buggy BIOSes; performed relatively poorly, and had very few additional features other than those provided by the CPU and chipset. So I wasn't expecting much from the Intel DZ77GA-70K Z77 Express motherboard, but was amazed to find that this time, Intel might have a winner on its hands. Join me as Benchmark Reviews takes a look at Intel's new Z77 Express standard bearer.

The AMD 990FX chipset has been out for a while now, yet Biostar's TA990FXE motherboard still gets you in the game with plenty of PCI Express lanes for Crossfire/SLI, and more SATA III connectivity than rival Intel's Z77 platform. What's not to like about all that? Let's dive in, take a close look at the Biostar TA990FXE board, overclock it and run a few pages worth of benchmarks through it's copper traces...

While everyone has a favourite scene from serious war epics like Saving Private Ryan, KitGuru has always been drawn to the lone sniper. The character who will remain motionless for as long as it takes to draw his enemy out – and then blow his head off with a single shot down his opponent’s scope. Tasty. Even more tasty is the opportunity to win GIGABYTE’s best ever mainboard, the G1 Sniper M3 – powered by Intel’s latest Z77 chipset. For your chance to win, read on!
