KitGuru has looked at several new Fusion boards from AMD partners MSI and Sapphire. Both products left us with positive feelings - the mixture of low power drain, competitive pricing and excellent high definition media performance is certainly a heady combination. Today we are building a more expensive media system based around the Asus E35M1-I Deluxe motherboard and stylish Thermaltake Armor A30 chassis.
In this review we'll be looking at an Intel P67 enabled motherboard from Sapphire called the Pure Black P67. Sapphire is a well known video card supplier that builds some of the most recognizable Radeon cards on the market. However are not often considered when it comes to motherboards, yet they do exist.

The H67H2-M Black motherboard from ECS is the most equipped from their H67 chipset series and incorporates technologies like USB 3.0, EZ Charger and Dual Gigabit LAN with teaming support. The board supports only Intel HD Graphics overclocking, the CPU overclocking by multiplier is locked and the memory frequency is limited at 1333MHz.
Earlier on today we visited the GIGABYTE headquarters in Taipei and had a good old fashioned full look at its newest motherboard that will be officially launched next week at CeBIT in Germany. We are talking about the X58A-OC aka Hi Cookie's baby. GIGABYTE has long wanted to produce a motherboard dedicated strictly to overclockers - that wait is now over. We are talking about a board that doesn't just overclock well, but one that cuts out the crap and nonsense and just gets down to the business of high-end overclocking.
Back during CES we were given the chance to see the launch of a very exciting product. This was the G1 Killer series. If you have been in university long enough (Or if you are already done, good on you), there is always at least one TA you absolutely dislike. Sure, they are underpaid graduate students that are overworked slaves to Dr. WhoeverHisNameIs, and while I have met some who goes above and beyond of what they are expected to do, I have also met some who are completely clueless jerks. For legal reasons, let's just say any names mentioned here are purely coincidental. So let me introduce you to a guy called Javad in my department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He yells at you every time you go to his office. He is absolutely uninterested in answering any of your questions (Which results in more yelling). His methods of grading papers are absolutely disastrous. Not only can he give 45% on something that rightfully deserves a 90% after regrading, he also failed an entire class once on something that was clearly the right answer. In fact, it was so bad, the professor had to apologize during a lecture session once. Needless to say, Javad is not exactly the most popular TA around. So we just blame him for everything. Why was Hitler born? It was all Javad's fault. Why is there poverty in this world? It was all Javad's fault. Who caused the financial crisis a couple years ago? It was all Javad's fault. So needless to say, with Intel's recent massive recall on the P67 chipset due to its degrading SATA 3Gb/s ports, I can safely assure you it was also all Javad's fault. But until Intel's B3 stepping Cougar Point chipsets become available in the next few weeks, we are stuck with only one P67 board we received several weeks ago for our upcoming review. So thanks to Javad the P67 recall, we won't be doing any comparative benchmarking on the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD5. The good news is, most motherboards perform within
On the whole, Sapphire Fusion Mini E350 is an interesting solution that offers more expandability than competing boards. Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 are not a peculiarity for this class of products, and the supplied Bluetooth is surely not a drawback, even despite the implementation.
GIGABYTE Motherboards have always employed a wide variety of colors on them. At least until now. The GIGABYTE P67A-UD4 motherboard features the all new blacked out color scheme! First impressions, they look great! Unfortunately, looks won't do anything for performance. Today we are going to take the newly designed GIGABYTE P67A-UD4 out for a test drive.
