Last week details of ASRock's new PCI Express 3.0 motherboards appeared on the web and today VR-Zone bring you exclusive hands on pictures of the Z68 Extreme3 and Z68 Extreme7. ASRock will be using the new styling for all of its upcoming motherboards, so expect a lot more black and gold in the future, the only exception being the Fatal1ty boards of course.

Today we have the chance to look at one of the AMD Socket FM1 APU motherboards from ASRock. The ASRock A75 Pro4 supports the latest A series APU's from AMD. In past reviews of ASRock motherboards we have been impressed by their products. Will that trend continue, or will the ASRock A75 Pro4 be their first offering to let us down? Read on to find out how the ASRock A75 Pro4 stacks up against the competition!

Enthusiast computer systems often have a certain "look" that is indicative of their intended usage. For instance systems designed for overclocking will sit at the top of the product line and often feature oversized power delivery circuits and support a multitude of graphics cards.

The new Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 motherboard from ASRock comes with a rich software bundle, but also very useful features like C.C.O., Intel Smart Response Technology, Lucid VIRTU or PCI-E 3.0 slots (to be used with future Ivy Bridge CPUs). The color scheme has been reworked, so now the motherboard has a more professional look.

A few months ago when new chipsets were launching, I'd always go to the effort to try and hunt down some mITX versions of boards, because like I've said before, the mITX format actually has some serious power to offer people and can be paired with other high end components you'd normally see in standard ATX boards.

As we draw closer to the November launch of the Sandy Bridge-E platform, we get the chance to check out some of the new motherboards that are due to coincide with the launch. Due to NDA, we can't get too specific on CPUs, nor can we talk about anything performance related. We seem to have the ability to tell you a fair bit about the board, though.

We're getting through the boards, though, and the latest one for us to fire up comes from ASRock and follows the Fatal1ty series. The ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional looks the part, but today we'll see how it performs with the new AMD FX-8150 from AMD.

Asus have always been one of those brands that wants to cater for every market, and that's not a bad thing, certainly not. It gives the end user a bigger selection to chose from and lets Asus identify their customers, meaning that can then manufacture their products to suit the end user more. This is why Asus have made many boards ready for the Intel X79 launch, and with different boards aimed at different markets, it allows consumers to spend their money more wisely.

Intel’s Z68 platform has proven popular with the enthusiast audience, as the combination of stellar performance and competitive pricing is tough to match. In September Gigabyte released the GA Z68AP D3, a budget priced board which targeted a huge audience and I really thought it offered great value for money.
