I'm not sure why, but I'm a huge fan of the tiny mITX form factor. It's come a long way from the days of VIA powered boards and while they indeed were cool, they just didn't have the performance you could get out of mATX or larger boards which could carry those faster Intel and AMD CPUs. The format has really blown up lately, though, and we're seeing more and more companies offer mITX boards based on chipsets that indeed offer the chance to give us some real performance. Today we're looking at the ASUS P8H67-I which as you can possibly tell from the name, is based on the H67 chipset.

The Gigabyte GA-C847N is a Mini-ITX motherboard with a soldered Celeron 847 CPU. It uses the Intel NM70 chipset and has one PCI slot. Let's take a look at this little board.

Intel always sends reviewers their top-end motherboards when new CPUs are introduced. Called "Extreme Boards", these motherboards are designed for "extreme performance" and festooned with skulls. The past Intel Extreme Boards I've looked at came with early, buggy BIOSes; performed relatively poorly, and had very few additional features other than those provided by the CPU and chipset. So I wasn't expecting much from the Intel DZ77GA-70K Z77 Express motherboard, but was amazed to find that this time, Intel might have a winner on its hands. Join me as Benchmark Reviews takes a look at Intel's new Z77 Express standard bearer.

Motherboards based on the new H55, H57 and Q57 chipsets are targeted to the new Core i3 and Core i5 processors with integrated video, and Intel has released two different socket 1156 motherboards based on H55: DH55TC and DH55HC. Let's take an overall look on DH55TC.

This particular board comes with support for the latest AMD Phenom II processors, 4 DDR3 slots and uses the AMD 790GX and SB750 chipset and has integrated 7.1 channel HD audio, Gigabit LAN and onboard Radeon 3300 graphics.

The ASUS P8P67 Pro motherboard is a pretty standard platform with a good feature set, ideal for mainstream overclockers and gamers. Along with the dual PCI Express x16 slots for x8/x8 SLI/Crossfire, ASUS include SATA III, USB 3.0, a powered eSATA port for external storage devices, integrated Bluetooth v2.1 ( particularly unique and handy for smart phone interfacing ), 8-channel audio with DTS Surround and a whack of proprietory ASUS stuff that's guaranteed to glaze your eyes over.

A year ago we started a series of articles about the motherboards market. The first article was devoted to the selection of Mid-End products. A year has passed, and it's apparently high time to draw new conclusions.

Just before the launch of the Intel Z68 chipset, we had the opportunity to preview the Z68X-UD7-B3 and Z68X-UD3H-B3 Motherboards in Taiwan. Earlier this week we did a full review on the GIGABYTE Z68X-UD7-B3 Motherboard and if you're interested in a really top end Z68 board, I'd highly recommend checking that review out, especially if you're interested in a multi GPU setup
