Today we are going to look at a couple of the more budget friendly motherboards out there. We have three motherboards on the chopping block today, the ASRock Z77 Pro3, BIOSTAR TZ77B, and the GIGABYTE Z77-DS3H and each of these boards can be picked up for right under $100! While they may be aimed towards the budget minded, but we are going to put them through the paces and see how they hold up in our usual tests and of course some overclocking! Which one will come out on top? Read on to find out!

The ASRock X79 Extreme11 is probably the most complete motherboard released so far for the LGA2011 platform. It includes seven PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, eight additional SAS/SATA-600 ports, eight USB 3.0 ports, and a high-end audio controller. The most important feature of this motherboard is the presence of two PLX PEX8747 chips, which allow you to install up to four PCI Express 3.0 video cards truly working at x16 speed. Let's check it out.

According to Wikipedia, social determinants of health are "the economic and social conditions –- and their distribution among the population –- that influence individual and group differences in health status". It probably is not terribly surprising to you if I said people in developed countries have dramatically longer life expectancy than those who live in developing nations, simply because the latter lack even the basic necessities for living, such as clean water and food. But for those who live in developed countries such as Canada and the United States, what determinants do we include when we benchmark these nations against each other? Many researchers propose factors such as income, housing, and employment. While this is nice and agreeable, in my personal opinion, they are all missing one very important aspect. If anyone wants to be healthy, what they truly need is a fast computer that starts every time and never crashes. At the end of the day, let's admit it: We have all screamed and yelled when your computer crashes at just the wrong time, or at the very least, become frustrated at unbearably slow PCs. All these will cost a few years of your life in the long run. So for health related reasons... I think it is time for you to upgrade your desktop, haha. After all, you only live once. To give you a hand, what we have here at APH Networks this morning is a mainstream performance motherboard from Gigabyte. Promising excellent performance, top notch stability, and rock solid reliability that won't break the bank, will the GA-Z77X-UD3H fit the bill? Read on to find out!

Der bekannte Mainboard-Hersteller MSI hat einen Knall. Sogar einen großen! Sozusagen einen XL-Knall. Wovon wir hier faseln? Von der XL-ATX-Platine "MSI Big Bang-XPower II", die Platz für sieben Grafikkarten bietet. Sieben? Ja, sieben! Wie gesagt: MSI hat einen ganz großen Knall! Davon einmal abgesehen, ist dieses außergewöhnliche Motherboard mehr als nur einen Blick wert.

The Gigabyte UD5 moves well past the level of standard low end boards and is solidly embedded in the mid ranges area. Though it is the same price as the recently reviewed G1.Sniper M3 its functionality is very different and that is where we are going to go with this review; functionality. We are going to look at getting the job done as that is more important to most users than overclocking, getting gold medals at HWBot or setting records. We want this board to sweat!

The GA-Z77X-UP5 TH has another selling point, and that's the inclusion of two Intel Thunderbolt connectors. Since one of the key features of Thunderbolt is the ability to daisy chain multiple devices, a second connector seems superfluous at first. However, Intel also has a cheaper Thunderbolt chip for peripheral devices that do not have the daisy chaining feature. It's likely that more and more Thunderbolt devices will hit the market that cannot be daisy chained, so the presence of a second Thunderbolt adapter is a good way of future-proofing your PC.

First up today is the Z77 FTW, a high end board for socket 1155 CPUs. With plenty of enthusiast features. We will also be taking a look at EVGA's factory overclocked GTX 670, two in fact, in the latest games including Max Payne 3 and Counter Strike Global Operations.
