Intel’s Z68 chipset has been out for sometime now and it brings together some of the best features of Intel’s P67 and H67 chipsets. Today we are taking a look at another Intel Z68 motherboard, this time it is the Z68XP-UD4 from Gigabyte. Gigabyte has loaded with motherboard with features like a 16 phase power design, Intel Quick Sync video, switchable graphics with LucidLogix Virtu GPU virtualization, and Gigabyte’s new touch BIOS. That said, today I will be checking out another Z68 board in the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD5, a premium Z68 offering that retails for almost $100 more than the MSI mainboard. This time around, in addition to our standard review analysis, we will be comparing benchmarks between the two boards and against a P67 system to see the performance improvement that Intel's latest chipset brings to the table.

With the successor to theZ68AP-D3 in our hands, can a budget board rival the extremeZ77 boards on the market?

Panther Point, the Z77 chipset, launched simultaneously with the brand new Intel Ivy Bridge CPU's. Supporting PCI-3.0, native USB3.0, high BCLK and RAM frequencies, but only if bundled with one of Intel's 3d generation CPU's. As usual, vendors launched a wide variety of boards, from low end basic OEM boards to high end gamer/overclocking versions. Choosing the right board is mainly always a matter of features, gimmicks, color schemes and surely the price tag. Today we review two of Gigabyte's offerings: the mainstream targeted GA Z77-D3H and the high end model, the GA Z77X-UD5H.

We check out an aggressively priced motherboard from GIGABYTE in the form of the Z77-HD4. It surprised us in a good way during our overclocking tests.

The Gigabyte Z77-HD4 is an entry-level socket LGA1155 motherboard targeted to the "Ivy Bridge" processors (third-generation Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors). Let's see what this motherboard has to offer.
