When it comes to kicking back and enjoying your favourite albums, having a great set of speakers or a set of high-end headphones can really make or break the experience. Of course for many people out there, the £20 set of headphones they got from their local electronics store will be more than enough, offering them many hours of happiness when needed, but there are certain people, myself included, that demand a lot more from their audio equipment. While some like to use the term Audiophile to describe those who love premium grade sound components, I don’t think you have to take it that seriously just to want the best quality from your music, much in the same way you don’t have to be a complete TV nerd just to want a quality HDTV.

I am not a fan of Bluetooth speakers primarily because sound reproduction just didn’t represent what music was supposed to sound like. For this reason, I haven’t reviewed one before today. It is definitely not for lack of opportunity as these are the most popular gadgets seen at any tech event and there are 7-8 of them floating around our office at any given time. I have never been one to write a report on hardware without merit however, so for each my communication return to the companies discussed my concerns and an offer for us to return the product. My first official review of a BT speaker occurs in this report which, in itself, says something for the Bayan Audio Soundbook BT Speaker.

Although most of us here prefer to listen to our favorite songs using cables to get the best possible audio quality none of us can deny that using a Bluetooth wireless headset is far more convenient especially if you're not at home. That's just the beginning however the really difficult part begins when you go out in the market to find the one Bluetooth wireless headset that can cover all your needs from audio quality and design up to battery life and size. We have reviewed several interesting Bluetooth wireless headsets with the JABRA REVO Wireless being perhaps the most impressive of them all but since not everyone can afford one such headset we decided to go out and search for far more cost-effective alternatives one of which is the latest SWAGE 2 Wireless Stereo Headphones by Rokit Boost.

If you use your rig to listen to music then there is a good chance you won’t be happy with the onboard sound from the motherboard. ASUS have released the STX II and STX II 7.1 to build on the huge success they experienced from the earlier Essence STX solution. Today we review their follow up sound card and headphone amplifier – the Essence STX II 7.1 Sound card.

Up for review today I have the Cera wireless Bluetooth speaker from Tego Audio. This little speaker is orb shaped and it has what Tego calls an expanding sound chamber that provides omnidirectional sound so it doesn’t matter where you put it the sound is the same. The Cera features multimedia touch controls right on the top which light up blue when powered on. The Cera surprised me by just how good it sounded, especially since it only has one speaker inside of it, the sound is clear and loud. Read on to learn more…"

KitGuru invest plenty of time into analysing and reviewing headphones, but they are generally ‘gaming grade’ products, priced between £30 and £100. But what if you have a lot more cash on hand and want a set of headphones that will reveal every single detail from your precious vinyl, compact discs or high resolution audio files?

To conclude, do yourself a favor and bypass the familiar brand names and buy the BeatBlock WET for $99 on Amazon. At the time of this writing the BeatBlock WET has 4.5/5 stars over 190 reviews on Amazon. I was similarly impressed by the BeatBlock WET, it is just a great little speaker that pumps out tunes for up to 9 hours straight for only $99.

Summer is almost upon us people so i expect that it won’t be long now before most of you storm the beaches around the world (like some friends of ours I’m guessing some of you already have) so just like pretty much everyone we know you're probably looking for ways to make your time there more pleasant and carefree. Now there are plenty of things one can bring along while at the beach but there are only two devices which happen to be at the top of the list especially amongst teenagers (not including smartphones obviously). So according to what we hear from friends and family, even from some of you via emails and FB messages the number one gadget people consider bringing along is a portable battery pack (PowerBank) followed very closely by a compact wireless speaker. A couple of our readers even mentioned large Boombox stereo speakers which is somewhat funny since back in the day that was our number one to bring toy when at the beach and why not even a guitar if someone knew how to play (smartphones were in their infancy back then). Times however change and now with the help of smartphones tiny portable speakers have effectively all but replaced the many times larger Boombox stereo speakers and so today we'll be taking a thorough look at the latest Solemate Mini Portable Wireless Speaker by Jabra.
