Guess when you have $56 billion and change in the vault in today’s economic environment you must be doing something right. Just wish our kids would quit contributing to the stash Apple is using to buy GPU (graphics processor unit) technology and game designer talent. A few years ago Apple decided all smartphones sucked (they’re not too hot on netbooks either). So they announced the step up from the iPod (they didn’t like those other MP3 players!)…the iPhone.

We wrap up our coverage of the 2009 E3 Expo with a look at some of the titles for your console and PC that we think will be the "sleepers" of 2009/2010. Most of these products will not be available until later this year or early 2010, but many of the developers and designers were willing to let us take some pictures and film their product to bring it to you, our faithful readers!

There's much to get excited about with Samsung's 52" LN52A850S1F LCD HDTV, commonly known as the 'A850'. For starters this LCD HDTV ups the ante with the ability to play movies/music/pictures directly from a USB mass storage device or over a home network connection and it's screen is less than 2" thick, making it one of the thinnest large screen TV's out there. Samsung's A850-series stacks up like this: the 52" diagonal LCD screen boats a contrast ratio of 70,000:1 (dynamic), a brightness value of 500nits, industry standard viewing angles of 178/178 (horizontal/vertical).

The product is from Envizen and it’s much more than just a portable TV, it features a built-in memory card reader, along with a USB port, HDTV tuner, remote control and even a DVD player as well. The USB ports and memory card slot can be used to view pictures or even videos, and to listen to music, so it’s actually a multi-media player as well. The complete kit even includes a carrying case that can be converted into a mount so it can be attached to the back of a car seat so your passengers can watch videos on the go. This product is the only one like it that I know of on the market today, at least one that features everything that this one does, so read on to learn more about it

Over the course of this review, my opinion of the Xonar HDAV1.3 Slim has gradually improved alongside the software and drivers. Initially I wasn't very impressed, but could see the potential. With each updated version of the drivers and player I've become just a little more comfortable with the card. I'm happy to say that today I'm extremely satisfied with its performance.

Today I’ve got the third in this little series of video converters to be used with the iPod. The last two I looked at were free programs, today I’ve got Extra Video Converter Pro that runs about $35. Are there any differences between a free program and one that you’ve got to pay for? Is it faster? Does it do a better job? Are there more options available to you? I wanted to find out these answers to these questions and I’m sure other people might be curious as well. So, on that note, read on to learn about Extra Video Converter Pro and see what differences there might be and how it works

Till now, most monitor releases have been carbon copy releases of technology that has been out for over three years. An image quality tweak here, a design tweak there was all the consumer could expect. But this monitor is different in a big way. The technology difference contained within this rather standard monitor screams out loud in a crowd of your average everyday LCD computer monitor. No longer does the gamer have to settle in order to enjoy their games and no longer do they have to wait. The 120hz technology is here and I hope it is here to stay.
