Today starts a small series of articles about our latest project build. If you haven’t noticed, LanOC staff takes a very big interest in LAN events including hosting our own in Northwest Ohio twice a year. Anyone who has packed all of their equipment up to come out to a LAN or two will completely understand why I prefer to build a PC specifically for coming out to events. My main PC the “Fridge” is literally larger than a mini fridge. It is a complete monster and is extremely eye catching, but when it takes two people and a large vehicle to get it out to an event you really start to wish you had something smaller. This is why for the past few years I have been using my “Lunchbox” builds at any event where I just want to kick back and enjoy myself. This project build is for Lunchbox 3, over the next few days I will go over its components and then show off its performance.

This all started one day when I spotted the thermaltake level 10 case sitting at show, I thought wow that looks very unique. I had been planning for a little while to do a car themed mod and with the level 10 being designed by one of BMW’s design houses, I thought now was a good a time as any to actually do a BMW 3 series Mpower theme, so the concept was born. Now bear in mind this concept started way back last year.

The PD-100N housing provides two USB ports, HDMI, optical out, and the old-school RCA video and stereo audio connections. The design is functional save for the spacing between the two USB ports on the front when coupled with the PDW-10N wireless adapter. This dongle is so large that it can overshadow the other port. For typical USB cables it's not that big of a problem, but forget about plugging in a flash drive when the wireless adapter is attached.

Today I’ve got a quick review for you of a cool little product from a company called Hub Innovations. I like tablets, I’ve got two of them in fact, actually three if you count the little cheapie, non-name thing I gave my kinds. Anyway, the product is called the Prizm 2-Piece Aluminum Stand and it’s for, you guessed it, tablets! Yes it’s aluminum as well, solid aluminum actually and it’s works very well and it looks great holding your tablet on your desk.

Windows Blue, or Windows 8.1 as it will potentially be called, was recently leaked. We couldn't help ourselves, and installed one of the leaked versions in a virtual environment so we could try it out. On the following pages we'll give you an impression of this significant update of Windows 8, build version 9364. Windows Blue is an early version, so it's perfectly possible that things you see here will not appear in the final release.

This product features a rechargeable built-in 1500 mAh battery, surrounded by a silicone shock absorbing case. Although 1500 mAh will not fully recharge a drained iPhone 5 it will provide 70% more additional capacity to get you through even the most data consuming days.

Today for review I’ve got the new Canon PowerShot SX210 IS that is not your typical point and shoot camera, at least not what you would consider a family camera. The SX210 IS is a feature packed camera that I think professionals and novices alike will appreciate and find easy to use. There’s a ton of features that make it a family friendly, but underneath all of that lies a camera with professional features, so it’s much more than just a point and shoot.

Everything you buy tends to be electronic based and of course this comes with a charger or power supply of some form. This wasn't really a problem a few years ago back but most people now have multiple devices that fit this category and as such have many chargers, I'd go as far as saying I have well over 30 different chargers in my room that are used most weeks! Unfortunately chargers are not only bulky and have a large length of cable but the real problem I find is that they are all very similar but not usually the same. This means it can take you a while to find the correct charger and untangle the mass of cables that inevitably get mixed up. For this reason I'd love a product that was able to charge all of my devices in one place, especially if it could be done wirelessly (as so to speak).
