Normally I don’t get too aggravated with the Facebook changes (aside from privacy issues) but I have to admit I have hopped on the latest Timeline complaints. I didn’t think it was a big deal until it was implemented and I miss the simplicity of the original design. At the time this article was written there is no way to go back to the old layout and Facebook is showing no interest in giving you a choice. In other words; get used to it. There is an option here, however.

3D printing technology has progressed beyond prototyping and developed into consumer production. What was once an expensive process that enabled quicker proto-fabrication has now become an affordable means for regular users to construct or duplicate any object of their desire. Inventors have championed 3D printers as devices favorable to their pursuit of product development, but the same technology will allow consumers the ability to copy patented work or firearms without consideration. The resulting dilemma will play out in courts around the globe as 3D printing devices and the software that coordinates them are steadily improved.

This is the third piece in an ongoing editorial series, in which the introductory article identified several threats which could potentially put an end the desktop PC platform. To summarize that piece, desktop computers are at risk of extinction by a wide range of predators: notebooks, netbooks, Smartphones, PDA devices, and gaming consoles. For this article, worldwide sales statistics make a strong argument against the longevity of desktop computers into the future. Will gaming consoles, notebook computers, and Smartphone devices replace the desktop PC anytime soon? Perhaps the obituary has already been written and we're all just ignoring the bad news.

Throughout out testing the TP-Link TL-WDR3500 was rock solid with no drops of signal during our use. Once the router was set up, operation was seamless. Many people will appreciate the fact that you can set the router up out of the box with some level of security to your wireless devices in less than 10 minutes using the included Setup Wizard software. For more advanced users, you have the freedom to customize a number of options to personalize the router to your specific needs. We used the TP-Link in an office where there were multiple wired devices – laptops, cell phones, tablets, and a Western Digital media player – were all connected and working successfully using the TL-WDR3500...

Not everyone wants to build their own HTPC, and despite the relative small size of most HTPC cases compared to a full tower for example, they're still fairly large next to most other electronic devices in a home theater environment. The Zotac Zbox on the other hand, is a fully functional HTPC in a very slim size; about the same as the average netbook. Offering a choice of barebone or pre-configured hardware, the model we have for review today includes the Intel Atom D525 dual-core CPU, nVidia ION2 graphics, 250Gb hard drive, 2Gb of memory and a slot-loading Blu-Ray drive. Add to that Gigabit wired and 802.11n wireless networking, 6-in-1 card reader, HDMI, USB3 and eSATA, and you've got a huge amount of functionality packed into one tiny device.

If you already have an Internet Router that you're intending to replace, I recommend some prep-work to make things easier. Most routers are set as the gateway to their network (i.e. 192.168.1.1), and this is probably the address that you want your firewall to use. Otherwise, you'll have to set the firewall to 192.168.1.2 or some other address, which can get real confusing really fast. Go ahead and log into your existing firewall, and change its address to 192.168.1.2, or some other number, so that it will not conflict with your new firewall. And turn off DHCP, since your new firewall should be the new DHCP server... you don't want two servers trying to dole out dynamic IP addresses and wreaking all sorts of havok.
