There's much to get excited about with Samsung's 52" LN52A850S1F LCD HDTV, commonly known as the 'A850'. For starters this LCD HDTV ups the ante with the ability to play movies/music/pictures directly from a USB mass storage device or over a home network connection and it's screen is less than 2" thick, making it one of the thinnest large screen TV's out there. Samsung's A850-series stacks up like this: the 52" diagonal LCD screen boats a contrast ratio of 70,000:1 (dynamic), a brightness value of 500nits, industry standard viewing angles of 178/178 (horizontal/vertical).

The XL2370 being my first LED backlit monitor I have had the pleasure of using for myself, I am very pleased with its performance. The distribution of lighting is well, absolutely uniform. By virtue of LED backlighting, the back of the panel is littered with a massive array of LED lights which are controlled individually by the monitor rather than fluorescent tubes allowing much better control over color, contrast and brightness. In terms of performance, I have nothing but good things to say about this monitor.

Point-and-shoots almost seem like a last option while shopping for cameras nowadays, while phone cameras constantly improve optics and quality. It’s tough to compete in a market so saturated with endless high and low end fixed lens options. This generation of point-and-shoot cameras needs a few things to compete with the onslaught, such as excellent optics, wireless connectivity - and they have to be easy to use. Samsung does a great job with their WB800F Smart Camera, implementing most of those features in an innovative way. Cramming a 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS sensor with a 21X optical zoom with an exceptionally high 16.3 megapixel count, Samsung manages to offer a decent amount of specs for $269 while coming in cheaper than the competition. We will see just how much value you can get out of the WB800F at its modest price-point.

Today I have Samsung's latest UN55ES8000 Smart TV on the test bench and will be taking you through everything this model has to offer. With a lot of the built-in features and included extras in the box, the UN55ES8000 can actually eliminate the need for many additional home theatre components and can give you a nice and integrated home theatre solution.

3D home theatre televisions! The future is here, finally! If you're a technology geek it's hard not to get excited the first time you hear about 3D HDTV. It's one of those amazing Jetsons-esque technologies that seems like we'd never quite get to, along with hover cars and robot butlers. PCSTATS cuts through the marketing hype and tells you if the 3D Samsung UN55C7000 55-inch HDTV is worth it.

After over a month and a half of daily use, the Samsung UN55B8000 can be summed up as a mixed bag of great and not so great characteristics. The first thing to mention and the distinguishing feature is the 1.2 inch depth profile. There is no consumer grade TV this side of perhaps an OLED display that at the time of this review is as thin as this model. The second is the color reproduction. This by a small margin has the best color reproduction I have seen to date. Couple these with the overall aesthetics and improved USB video, mp3 and photo functionality and at first you would think this is a touch down for Samsung. But hold on.

Overall, the Samsung SyncMaster XL2370 is an excellent premium 1080p monitor for the consumer wanting to pay more to get a top of the line product. The picture quality, color reproduction and contrast alone makes up for the difference in cost and after a weeks worth of use, the money will be deemed a good investment.
