Never heard of slotRadio? It is an initiative by SanDisk to capitalize on the DRM encumbered music market. For a one time fee, you get lots of music that is playable on certain devices that can play slotRadio media. We at ASE Labs thought that the market moved on from proprietary forms of media. Still, we'll see if it has some worth to it.

Digital music and portable digital music players have transformed our listening experience. Now a well-known company called SanDisk is offering a new twist to purchasing and listening to digital music. Their slotMusic Player plays microSD cards which you can fill yourself or you can purchase with DRM-free albums pre-loaded. It is a unique idea that combines the old-fashioned "buying a record or CD" with the new iPod-like way of listening to music. Using the Removable Storage Benchmark found in SiSoftware Sandra 2009 SP3 we were able to get a pretty good idea of the performance that the SanDisk ImageMate Multi-Card USB 2.0 Reader/Writer offers with various file sizes. What makes the prototype Sandia Cooler special is the design, its aluminum cooling fins serve double duty as the rotating fan and fan blades of the cooler . Unlike traditional CPU coolers, heat energy in the Sandia Cooler is conducted across a very thin air gap bearing from the stationary base of the cooler to the upper rotating aluminum fin/fan component.

By now most of you out there should have already made plans for the summer, some of you may have decided to visit relatives while others may go to a place at the beach, visit foreign countries, go on a mountain excursion and so on. Personally i obviously prefer going both to the beach and the mountain and although these two destinations are the best one can be at regardless of the time of the year there's but a single problem that applies for both and that's that there aren't any electrical sockets around when you are not at the house/resort so if your smartphone is running low on battery then there's not much you can do about it. Because of such emergencies i always carry two portable batteries with me, one placed in my car (charging smartphones from your lighter socket is not the best thing to do) and another in my backpack. Today we will be taking a look at one such portable battery and more specifically the latest PowerBar 4400mAh by our friends over at Sandberg.

The Sandberg Hard Disk Cloner may not be the fastest HDD cloning solution around but not only does it allow for PC-Free hard disk cloning but you can also actually use it as a normal HDD docking station via either its USB 2.0 or eSATA connection.

Each day that goes by more and more people i know either upgrade their systems with USB 3.0 compatible mainboards or choose the quite cheaper and easier path which is simply to install a PCIex USB 3.0 card. However it is because of that exact reason that many people keep asking me about which USB 3.0 hubs they should turn to in order to multiply their USB 3.0 ports without sacrificing speed. Now surprisingly enough most of the really popular and large manufacturers have yet to release USB 3.0 compatible hubs (for unknown reasons) however there are many such products in the market currently manufactured by smaller companies and the 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub we have here by Sandberg is one the those.
