Those of you with older television cabinets or mounted televisions know the difficulty that comes with hiding your equipment out of site while still being able to control it. Radio frequency (RF) has its benefits but requires a special remote control as well as IR blasters for each individual device you are looking to control. Sewell has developed the InjectIR device for those users who don’t want the complexity of an IR setup but still want to be able to control their hidden devices.

I still have fond memories of my first BlackBerry phone. While many people would chuckle now at the monochrome screen and ancient interface, I only had to charge the battery twice a week. Smartphones today may have fast quad core processors and giant 4 inch HD colour screens, but by the end of the working day you will probably need to recharge. As technology has advanced, so has the power drain.

If you are familiar with Sentey, you'll recognize a certain pattern they have when releasing their computer cases. They generally release a style of case and then release a few more with the same style and some minor changes. There will be an R version of the case that has red highlights, a B version with blue, W for white, and so on. In some case series they will also release a V version with a different side panel (usually windowed). In the case of the Optimus series, as well as a couple of other series, Sentey has now released a II version of the case. At Benchmark Reviews, we have a Sentey GS-6000 II Optimus case on hand and ready break down to explore what they've changed on this one.

Two weeks ago D-Link announced the introduction of a CAPTCHA to confirm configuration changes on some of its wireless routers. According to D-Link, the objective is to prevent that users whose machines have been owned by malware have the DNS settings in the router changes without the user's knowledge.

Most of the people i know who wear wristwatches all the time have one or more favorite brands which they always trust when the time comes either to buy a new watch to add to their collection or as a replacement for an old one. Back in 2002 i was out for a stroll when i passed in front of a watch shop which had almost a 3 digit number of models on display (something that was a bit surprising since most watch shops have like 10-20 samples on display). However out of all these watches my eyes fell on a single bracelet one made by an unknown brand to me called SECTOR but due to its somewhat high price tag (at least for me back then) i skipped on buying it. Obviously back then i wasn't that much into watches (especially bracelet ones since it was the leather/rubber era for me) which pretty much explains my ignorance regarding a well-established watch manufacturer like SECTOR. Fast forward 11 years later and today on our test bench we have one of the latest Sector watches to hit the market the Pilot Master R3273679025 (R stands for Racing).

This flexibility is also its problem. After six years in the business, as hundreds of other social networking sites and virtual worlds have been developed, thrived, failed, and molded, Second Life has yet to delineate its presence in the Web 2.0 and virtual world markets. Second Life still doesn’t seem to know what it’s for.
