This is the last in our series of thermal compounds that we’ve been looking at, as of late. Last time we looked at the GC-Extreme Thermal Compound which was aimed more at the hardcore overclocker who wanted the best performing results and didn’t mind paying a bit extra for it. This time the GC-2 is aimed more at the general end user and light overclocker. It’s a premium compound offering great properties for an affordable price. If you don’t want to sacrifice quality, but don’t want to spend a lot, then you’ll see how the GC-2 is going to be perfect for you.

We couldn't pass up the chance to review the Fujifilm FinePix Z30. It is a point-and-shoot camera that bucks the trends. The Z30 has a really unique style. It has a smooth and curvy metallic surface and comes in several bright colors including a bright fuchsia pink, an intense bright orange and a vibrant purple.

Today for review I’ve got a sleeve from CoverBee that fits a mini laptop or netbook up to 8.9” in size. It’s a sleeve so it’s open ended, though the CoverBee does offer a soft quilted lining inside to protect your netbook very well from scratches and even from small bumps.

We encountered not only Booth Babes, but more CosBabes and even CosDudes in costume at BlizzCon 2009. In fact there were so many CosPeople that it was hard for us to just narrow down the top ones that we saw, so we gathered together 20 CosBabes and a few CosDudes for you to take a peak at if you couldn't make the show.

This flexibility is also its problem. After six years in the business, as hundreds of other social networking sites and virtual worlds have been developed, thrived, failed, and molded, Second Life has yet to delineate its presence in the Web 2.0 and virtual world markets. Second Life still doesn’t seem to know what it’s for.

I’ve been asked by many friends if the 2008 models currently on sale are a good buy and my answer is: it depends. If you’re looking for a basic TV and only plan on watching Cable/Digital TV with the occasional movie in between go for what’s on sale as you’ll be happy with it. However, the B640 offers so much more. If you plan on watching more than just the odd HD movie or will be centering your entertainment system around a new TV then seriously consider the B640 as the baseline for comparison.

Without a doubt, the Hauppauge HD PVR is a very capable device, at least according to the manufacturer’s promises. The first thing that hit me though was; what about the recording media, there’s no hard drive in it? But then I understood that I had been somewhat fooled by the “PVR” part of the product name. This is not a traditional PVR with an internal hard drive, it’s more like a HD video transferring and converting device. For instance, you can record live TV or previously recorded media from you set top box directly onto your computer through the HD PVR unit

Fan controllers have been around for ages it seems. These are products intended for true PC hardware enthusiasts who enjoy optimizing their systems to the max. Zalman was one of the pioneers in this sector with its famous ZM-MFC1, a device that only allowed us to control fan rotating speed. The concept of a 5.25” panel from which you could control all your fans directly was very well received by modders and PC builders. The unit which I will be taking a closer look at today is a much more evolved product compared to Zalman’s first attempt…

Cryo PC are one of the gaming system manufacturers plugging away in the shadow of the giants, but they seem to put together some nice pieces of kit; for not too high a price either. Today we're looking at a machine called the Tetrad, which promises good performance, in a quiet and well put together machine. Of course every single gaming PC manufacturer says that, so it needs to be put to the test. Let's get on with it
