In our previous instalment of our Budget Gaming article, we focused on low budget games, and ways you can get your gaming fix for a few pennies here and there. We've also discussed free gaming, and everyone should be aware of "The Basics" by now, so it's time we covered the final couple of bases where gaming can be done without smashing open your piggy bank. Today we're focusing on 2nd hand shops, and retro gaming.

We were duly impressed by the Brother MFC-J4510DW. It performs really well in many aspects. It looks good, has more than enough features and has a very nice control panel. The connectors are sufficient, and the presence of Wi-Fi Direct enables you to connect your mobile device to the printer without a router. The print quality is generally high. Especially photos look really great for a device that's sold as MFC and not as photo printer.

Back in April I reviewed the Brite-View CinemaTube and since then they’ve released a new smaller player called the CinemaGo. This one is small and portable and it comes with an 802.11N wireless dongle for wireless networking ability. The CinemaGo comes with two USB ports and an eSATA port along with HDMI and composite connections. The interface is kind of basic really but it works for playing your media. You can play media from a hard drive or a USB drive or right off of your network like your computer or network attached storage device.

I’ve taken a look at several media players here on TestFreaks and today I have another one, but unlike the previous kind I looked at. Today for review I’ve got the brite-View CinemeTube Media Player. You might recognize the name brite-View as I recently reviewed their power line networking kit, that kit was meant to work with this product I have for review today. It’s unlike other media players in that there is no storage on-board the unit itself, it is strictly a streaming media player. Yes you can attach a USB hard drive or even a thumb drive, but there is no storage inside the unit. The CinemaTube will not only stream video and audio, but you can use it to share photos and files on your network and it even has a built-in torrent client and even a program to use with Flikr for even further photo sharing. The CinemaTube features HDMI, Component and Composite outputs and an optical audio output as well. So read on to learn more..

Today our pals at Geeks.com have sent the Brenthaven Stylus III-XF Notebook Bag. I’ve had the chance to review quite a few laptop bags over the past few years, and I can safely say this bag is one of my favorites to date. It looks nice, appears to be super durable, has an insane amount of storage and comes with a price tag that can’t be beat.

When we take a wide look at the pre-built systems market in the UK, the number of names out there that one can choose from is growing on a near day-to-day basis. The scale at which each of these system integrators run does vary quite considerably and on the high-end of the scale where the big names such as Scan Computers and Overclockers UK dominate the market, competition is fierce and the number of systems that each name has to offer covers an incredibly wide range of budgets. When we look towards the other end of the scale, where getting your name out there is key, pitching just high-end systems that costs hundreds to buy is not exactly going to be an easy way of doing this. Instead of offering systems on the upper end of the performance scale, the other option is to create a line of budget friendly systems that contain a more modest level of performance making them ideal for the first time buyer who is just getting their feet into the door and the world of gaming on a PC.

With a unique physique, revolutionary remote and innovative feature set--promising no compromise local file playback alongside Internet content aggregation--no streamer has threatened to break into the Consumer Electronics (CE) mainstream like the Boxee Box. Based on Intel’s CE4100 system on a chip (SOC) the device is capable of hardware accelerated decode for many popular codecs, HD audio bit streaming and an x86 CPU capable of delivering a decent browsing experience. Anyone who followed the device’s launch knows that it could have gone smoother; having given the platform a few months to mature, now is a good time to dive in and see if it can make good on its potential.
