Today for review I’ve got a quick one for you of a decent tablet or netbook case from Slappa called the Rubber Sole. The case is made of a rubberized material that repels water so what you do decide to put inside will be protected from the elements. The Rubber Sole is padded for protection as well, and you can fit a tablet or netbook up to ten inches in size inside of the case. There is a single pocket on the outside of the case in case you need to take some papers or cables with you. All in all it’s not a bad case. Read on….

I still have fond memories of my first BlackBerry phone. While many people would chuckle now at the monochrome screen and ancient interface, I only had to charge the battery twice a week. Smartphones today may have fast quad core processors and giant 4 inch HD colour screens, but by the end of the working day you will probably need to recharge. As technology has advanced, so has the power drain.

Today we look at the latter as the Dropcam HD is our review subject. Founded in 2009, Dropcam specializes in video monitoring and have recently upgraded their product line with an HD camera version, which features 720p video.

Almost every part of computers have evolved rapidly over the past few years, with the exception of conventional hard disks. The performance of processors, graphics cards and other components has increased significantly, but the speed of hard disks has been a bit stagnant. Buffalo attempts the break the mold with its new DriveStation DDR3, an external hard disk with USB 3.0 and 1 GB of DDR3 RAM.
